Petsense by Tractor Supply to Host Nationwide Fall Adoptathon, Connecting More Pets With Forever Homes

One-day event brings local shelters and rescue organizations into stores nationwide, with a goal of 1,200 adoptions and exclusive offers for new pet parents

BRENTWOOD, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Petsense by Tractor Supply, a wholly owned subsidiary of Tractor Supply Company (NASDAQ: TSCO), today announced it will host its annual Fall Adoptathon at participating stores nationwide on Saturday, Oct. 3, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. local time. In conjunction with Hill’s Science Diet and Elanco, Petsense by Tractor Supply locations will partner with local shelters and rescue organizations to help adoptable dogs, cats and small animals find forever homes during the one-day event.

U.S. shelters and rescues took in 5.8 million dogs and cats in 2025, according to Shelter Animals Count. Every adoption makes a difference, giving a pet a loving family while freeing up critical space and resources for local shelters to care for the next animal in need.

Petsense by Tractor Supply has set a goal of 1,200 adoptions for this fall’s event. Since 2005, Petsense has supported more than 223,000 pet adoptions through its in-store Sav-A-Pet centers and nationwide adoption events. This year’s event is supported by pet care brands including Champion, Stella & Chewy’s, Tomlyn/Vetoquinol, Frontline, Fromm, Petmate and Purina.
