Paragon Insurance Holdings Announces Specialty Property Leadership Promotions

Promotions strengthen Paragon’s Specialty Property leadership team and support continued growth across the organization

AVON, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Paragon Insurance Holdings (“Paragon”), an international managing general agency, today announced three senior leadership promotions, expanding the roles of Mike Denton, Brett Papenhagen and Erik Ostgulen as the company continues to grow its Specialty Property business and broader specialty insurance platform.

Mike Denton has been promoted to executive vice president of Paragon Insurance Holdings. In his expanded role, Denton will continue to work closely with the Paragon Specialty Property team while taking on additional responsibilities and strategic initiatives across the broader organization. Denton has played an important role in the continued development of Paragon’s Specialty Property business and his expanded responsibilities will bring that experience to initiatives across Paragon.

As part of the leadership changes, Paragon also announced two promotions within its Specialty Property team:

• Brett Papenhagen has been promoted to senior vice president of Paragon Specialty Property and will lead PSP Custom, the business previously referred to as the OT team.
• Erik Ostgulen has been promoted to senior vice president of Paragon Specialty Property and will lead PSP Select, previously referred to as the E3 team.

The promotions reflect Paragon’s continued investment in its Specialty Property business and the experienced leadership supporting its growth. They also reinforce its commitment to developing leadership talent from within the organization, cultivating the underwriting expertise, specialized capabilities and service that support its retail agent and carrier partners.
