Clutch Launches Clutch Guarantee, a Risk-Free Way to Hire a Service Provider

Buyers get 100% of eligible project fees back if they cancel within 14 days

WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Clutch today launched Clutch Guarantee, a 14-day, no-questions-asked refund guarantee from participating providers. Buyers who aren't satisfied within 14 days can cancel in writing and get 100% of eligible project fees back.

"For years, Clutch has helped buyers answer this question: can this provider deliver? Verified reviews answer it by showing how a provider performed for other clients," said Amanda Baum, Senior Vice President of Product at Clutch. "But the next question, whether a provider is the right fit for your team and project, only gets answered once you start working together. Clutch Guarantee lets buyers get that answer early, before the budget is committed and months are lost. Providers who offer it put their own fees behind their work, which says more than any pitch."

How Clutch Guarantee works:

  • Look for the badge: Participating providers show the badge on their Clutch profile.
  • Decide within 14 days: The window starts at the project kickoff meeting, or the contract start date or signing date if there's no kickoff. Buyers cancel in writing, and the provider must refund eligible fees within 15 business days.
  • Know what's covered: 100% of eligible project fees, but not out-of-scope work, third-party costs or payments under separate agreements.
  • Dispute protection: Refund disputes not resolved in good faith go to binding arbitration through New Era ADR, resolved within 30 days, with the provider paying all fees. Clutch is not a party to the contract and does not hold or move funds.
