Building a Leading Occupational Health and Workforce Wellbeing Platform Across North America

WEST PERTH, Australia--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Today marks an important milestone in APM's growth and commitment to helping people live healthier, more productive and independent lives.

APM has acquired WorkCare and entered into an agreement, subject to approvals, to acquire Medcor. Together with the expansion of Assure, these businesses establish a scaled occupational health and workforce wellbeing platform across North America.

WorkCare specialises in employer-focused occupational health, combining workforce health programs, injury management and technology-enabled clinical services to support large and complex workforces.

Medcor is a pioneer in onsite healthcare delivery, providing employers and their employees direct access to clinical services through onsite medical teams, mobile health programs and telehealth solutions.

Together, WorkCare, Medcor and Assure will bring together more than 2,000 team members across 450 sites, with a presence in every US state and territory and every Canadian province. The combined platform offers national reach, technology-enabled complementary services and deeper expertise to improve workforce health, participation and productivity.

"Employers increasingly want a trusted partner that can support the full workforce health journey. By bringing together WorkCare, Medcor and Assure, we are creating one of North America's most comprehensive occupational health and workforce wellbeing platforms. Together, we can help organisations build healthier, safer and more productive workforces while extending our impact and continuing to enable better lives. Importantly, as part of APM's global network, we can increasingly support customers across multiple markets, bringing together local delivery, international expertise and shared innovation to improve workforce outcomes at scale," said Michael Anghie, APM Group Chief Executive Officer.

"WorkCare has always believed prevention, early intervention and coordinated care deliver better outcomes. Joining APM brings together complementary capabilities and creates new opportunities to improve workforce participation, wellbeing and long-term health outcomes across North America," said Peter P. Greaney, M.D., Founder and Chief Medical Officer of WorkCare.

Philip Seeger, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Medcor, said: "For more than four decades, Medcor has helped employers improve workforce health through innovation, clinical excellence and conflict-free customer experience. APM shares those values and brings additional scale, capability and global experience, creating greater opportunities for our clients, employees and communities."

APM will bring together a broad range of services designed to help organisations address these challenges through a more coordinated approach, including:

  • Workplace injury prevention

  • Occupational health and screening services
  • Early intervention, injury triage and telehealth
  • Case management and return-to-work support
  • Mental health and wellbeing services
  • Employee Assistance Programs (EAP)

Together, these services will help employers create healthier workplaces, support employee wellbeing and improve workforce participation.

Expanding Workforce Wellbeing

We see growing demand for workforce wellbeing and mental health solutions that provide support before challenges arise.

Our integrated wellbeing ecosystem will support the employee journey from prevention and EAP through to treatment, recovery and return to meaningful participation.

A Platform for Long-Term Growth

Occupational health strengthens APM's North American health platform and supports our expansion in wellbeing and digital health.

Organisations increasingly value integrated, evidence-based solutions that improve workforce outcomes and simplify access to support.

A New Chapter for APM
