Hitachi Joins the Tokenomics Foundation

Global systems integrator to collaborate on defining standards, benchmarks, and practices for enterprise AI consumption

DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Hitachi Digital Services, the global systems integrator powering mission critical platforms, today announced that Hitachi, Ltd. has joined the Tokenomics Foundation as a General Member. Launched by the Linux Foundation, the Tokenomics Foundation aims to establish open, vendor-neutral industry standards, benchmarks and best practices for the economics of AI. Hitachi Digital Services will serve as the representing Hitachi Group company for Hitachi, Ltd.

As organizations move from AI experimentation to production, token consumption is becoming a critical business challenge. Token Economics, or Tokenomics, is the emerging practice of managing the production, consumption and value of AI to generate business outcomes. It gives practitioners a framework for understanding AI’s actual cost in relation to its business impact. By joining the Tokenomics Foundation, Hitachi Digital Services will contribute to that practice to ensure enterprises can scale AI adoption in a financially sustainable manner.
