Experian Expands Instant Income and Employment Verification Network Through New Integration With Workday
Integration gives businesses greater choice and flexibility to streamline verification decisions and improve the consumer experience
COSTA MESA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--In a move to broaden the verifications landscape and support faster, more informed decisions, Experian®, a global data and technology company, today announced a new integration with Workday, Inc., the enterprise AI platform for HR, finance, and IT. The integration will significantly expand the real-time income and employment information that can be accessed through Experian Verify™ and provide organizations with greater choice and flexibility to complete their verification needs.

The integration builds on Experian’s broader strategy to expand the Experian Verify network through payroll provider integrations and employer-direct connections. Through this continued expansion, Experian Verify has a path to coverage of more than 80 million records, representing over half of U.S. payroll employees.¹
During important moments, including applying for a mortgage, auto loan, apartment lease or another financial product, consumers benefit when businesses can verify income and employment information in real time. When that information is available instantly and securely, businesses can reduce reliance on manual verification processes that often require additional documentation, slow down HR teams, delay approvals and create unnecessary friction for consumers.
By integrating with Experian Verify, Workday customers will gain greater choice and flexibility in how they fulfill employment and income verification requests while reducing the administrative burden for HR departments. With decades of experience managing sensitive consumer information and supporting some of the world’s largest organizations, Experian brings the scale, data stewardship and verification expertise employers need to participate with confidence.
At the same time, by increasing the number of records that can be accessed for instant verifications through Experian Verify, employees can move more quickly through important life events by removing the need to manually provide documentation.
“Whether it’s buying a home, purchasing a family vehicle, getting a job or navigating another important financial milestone, behind every verification request is a person trying to move forward,” said Michele Bodda, group president of Experian Verification Solutions, Employer Services and Housing. “Our integration with Workday gives employers another way to support those moments while helping reduce the verification burden on their HR teams. Experian brings decades of experience responsibly managing sensitive consumer information, giving employers a trusted partner and employees a faster, more seamless verification experience.”
The Workday integration represents a significant step in Experian’s strategy to build a more open and comprehensive income and employment verification ecosystem. With the addition of Workday, Experian Verify now offers payroll data from many of the nation’s largest payroll providers in addition to millions of unique records, giving businesses broader coverage and greater choice for instant income and employment verification.
“HR teams shouldn’t have to become paperwork chasers, and employees shouldn't have to put life on hold waiting for a verification to clear,” said Nancy Weitl, vice president, HCM product management at Workday. “Our work with Experian is one more way we're helping take that burden off both sides, so verifications happen quickly and securely.”
Experian Verify has a growing verification ecosystem, combining payroll provider integrations, employer-direct records and consumer-permissioned verification into a single platform. This diversified approach gives organizations broader coverage and greater flexibility to complete their verifications needs.
Workday customers will have the ability to verify income and employment through Experian as part of the newly announced Workday Total Benefits solution in late October.
