Sculptor Resets and Upsizes $450 Million CLO XXXIII

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sculptor Capital Management, Inc. (“Sculptor” or the “Firm”), a leading global alternative asset manager specializing in opportunistic investing, today announced the reset and upsize of Sculptor CLO XXXIII (“Sculptor CLO 33” or “CLO 33”), a $450 million U.S. collateralized loan obligation (“CLO”). CLO 33 was upsized by $45 million from its original closing.

The reset establishes a new five-year reinvestment period and a two-year non-call period. Sculptor completed the transaction without requiring additional equity, supported by approximately 50 basis points of par build generated in the portfolio over the past two years. The transaction was arranged by JP Morgan.

“We are pleased to have completed the reset and upsize of CLO 33 on attractive terms for our investors,” said Josh Eisenberger, Executive Managing Director and Head of U.S. CLO Management at Sculptor. “Continued demand for high-quality CLO debt allowed us to pursue both a reset and upsize, which we believe will position the vehicle to deliver strong prospective returns in the coming years.”

The transaction follows Sculptor’s €400 million reset of Sculptor European CLO VI (“ECLO 6”) earlier this month. ECLO 6’s reset was supported by all existing equity investors and establishes a new four-and-a-half-year reinvestment period and a one-and-a-half-year non-call period.

Since inception in 2012, Sculptor's ICS Platform has issued 50 CLOs and completed an additional 64 reset and refinancing transactions across the U.S. and Europe. Today, Sculptor's global ICS platform manages a suite of CLOs and CBOs totaling approximately $12.5 billion.
