AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--A new statewide poll of Latino voters in California and Texas, commissioned by the Latino Community Foundation, reveals strikingly similar views on issues and the candidates shaping the 2026 midterm election. Major concerns around AI, data centers, and the economy are emerging as key drivers of voters’ attitudes and priorities, and their support for candidates in the races for governor and U.S. Senate.

Representatives from BSP Research and the Latino Community Foundation will reveal the poll’s findings for the first time during a virtual national media briefing on Tuesday, September 22 at 11am ET. With Election Day just six weeks away, the briefing will give reporters insight into what Latino voters are saying about the issues and races shaping the 2026 midterms in California and Texas, including AI, data centers, voter ID, immigration enforcement, and election security.

Latinos are the nation’s second-largest group of eligible voters, with 39 million eligible voters projected in 2026. California and Texas are home to the nation’s two largest populations of Latino eligible voters, approximately 8.7 million in California and 6.7 million in Texas.
