Petrillo brings more than two decades of leadership experience across insurance, risk management, workplace safety, and community service. As President and CEO of LaPorte Insurance, he leads one of Oregon's largest locally held independent insurance agencies, guiding the firm's continued growth while building a culture centered on service, integrity, and client advocacy.
Petrillo has spent his career helping mid-market businesses across the Pacific Northwest understand and manage risk. He advises owners and executives on commercial property and casualty coverage, workers’ compensation strategy, workplace safety and injury prevention, employee benefits, and the operational decisions that drive an organization’s long-term cost of risk. Before joining LaPorte Insurance, he served as a safety management consultant with SAIF Corporation, working directly with Oregon employers on loss prevention and claims outcomes.
“Dan’s commitment to serving businesses and communities aligns closely with the values that guide Oregon Pacific Bank,” said Amber White, President and CEO of Oregon Pacific Bank. “His leadership experience, strategic perspective, and deep understanding of risk will be a valuable asset to our Board as we continue supporting the individuals, businesses, and organizations that help our communities thrive.”
Under Petrillo’s leadership, LaPorte Insurance has expanded steadily across Oregon, adding six additional locations and welcoming established community agencies into the firm while deepening its work with mid-market businesses throughout the region.
“I have long admired the role community banks play in helping local businesses and communities succeed,” said Petrillo. “Oregon Pacific Bank's presence across the state reflects the same commitment to local relationships that guides our work at LaPorte. I am honored to join the Board and look forward to supporting the Bank's mission of building strong relationships, keeping decision-making local, and creating lasting value for the communities it serves.”
Petrillo is a graduate of Georgetown University, where he earned a degree in political science. He lives in Sandy, Oregon, with his wife, Sarah, and their four children.
