AM Best to Discuss Its Views on Private Credit Surge and Risks at 2026 NAIC/NIPR Insurance Summit

OLDWICK, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--AM Best will deliver a presentation on risks related to private credit at the 2026 NAIC/NIPR Insurance Summit, which will take place Sept. 29–Oct. 2, 2026, in Kansas City, MO.

Rosemarie Mirabella, director, AM Best, will give the presentation, titled, “Navigating the Private Credit Surge: A Focus on Insurer Risk,” during which she will explore why private credit has become an industry-leading topic, and why insurance companies have increased their use of these investments. Mirabella also will review private credit characteristics, asset classes, the risks associated with these investments and AM Best’s framework for assessing insurers’ balance sheet risk. The session is scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 30, at 11:05 a.m. CDT. Mirabella has been with AM Best since 2003 and oversees a team of analysts who are responsible for monitoring and evaluating a myriad of insurance companies that operate in the personal lines, commercial lines and life/annuity segments in the United States and Canada.

The Insurance Summit is hosted by the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) and the National Insurance Producer Registry (NIPR).
