Woodchuck Opens Investment Opportunity to the Public Through Fundify

Regulation Crowdfunding offering gives accredited and non-accredited investors an opportunity to support Woodchuck’s mission to transform construction waste into renewable energy

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Woodchuck, the AI-powered waste-to-energy company transforming construction waste into renewable energy, today announced that it is accepting public investment through a Regulation Crowdfunding offering on Fundify.

"Woodchuck is tackling a real problem on construction sites: finding productive uses for materials that would otherwise be thrown away”

The offering opens the door for eligible accredited and non-accredited investors to learn more about Woodchuck, review its offering materials and participate through the Fundify platform, subject to applicable requirements and investment limits.

Turning Construction Waste Into a Valuable Resource

Woodchuck was built around a straightforward idea: material being thrown away at construction sites should not automatically be treated as waste. The company uses artificial intelligence, image-recognition technology and its network of material-processing facilities to identify, track and recover usable material from construction waste streams.

Woodchuck follows a highest-and-best-use approach that prioritizes reuse, remanufacturing and recycling before converting suitable residual wood into renewable energy. Its technology provides customers with measurable data on material volumes, contamination, diversion, carbon emissions avoided and renewable-energy production.

"Woodchuck is tackling a real problem on construction sites: finding productive uses for materials that would otherwise be thrown away,” said Josh Chodniewicz, founder and CEO of Fundify. “The company combines artificial intelligence, material tracking and wood recovery to solve it. Fundify was built to lower the barriers that have historically kept everyday investors out of startup investing, and we’re pleased to welcome Woodchuck to the platform as it makes its offering available to eligible investors."

Woodchuck works with general contractors, developers and companies building complex, high-volume projects, including data centers, advanced manufacturing facilities, battery plants and renewable-energy infrastructure. Its AI-supported process helps project teams improve waste-stream purity, document chain of custody and make informed decisions about material recovery.

The company’s work comes as construction activity and demand for dependable energy infrastructure are accelerating across the United States. Woodchuck sits at the intersection of those two challenges, helping construction teams reduce disposal costs while recovering wood that can serve a productive second purpose.

“Our customers are under growing pressure to control costs, meet diversion commitments and document actual results,” said Todd Thomas, founder and CEO of Woodchuck. “They do not need another sustainability promise. They need proof. Our job is to provide that proof—from the moment material reaches the dumpster through its final destination.”

Giving More People a Chance to Participate

Fundify’s platform is designed to expand access to private-company investment opportunities that were once largely reserved for wealthy or well-connected investors. It provides an online platform where people can explore early-stage companies, learn about their businesses, and review offering materials and investment risks before making their own investment decisions.

For Thomas, making the opportunity available to the public was especially meaningful because of the communities, customers and industry partners that have helped Woodchuck grow.

“Woodchuck was never meant to be a small solution to a small problem,” Thomas said. “Construction waste is a massive, expensive and largely overlooked resource. We are building the technology and physical infrastructure needed to recover that material at scale, give companies better data about where it goes and turn what cannot be reused or recycled into renewable energy. Opening this opportunity through Fundify gives more people the chance to learn about what we are building and, if they believe in the mission, become part of the journey.”

The Woodchuck offering and related offering documents are available through Fundify and on EDGAR. Startup investments are speculative and illiquid, and investors may lose their entire investment. As such, prospective investors should review the complete offering materials, including the company’s Form C and the risks associated with the investment, before making an investment decision.
