Petsense by Tractor Supply Launches Round-Up Campaign to Support K9s for Warriors
The in-store round-up fundraiser runs through Veterans Day at Petsense stores nationwide, with funds raised going on to train service dogs for veterans
BRENTWOOD, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Petsense by Tractor Supply, a wholly owned subsidiary of Tractor Supply Company (NASDAQ: TSCO), invites customers nationwide to round up their purchases at checkout through Veterans Day, Nov. 11, to benefit K9s For Warriors, the nation's leading provider of trained service dogs to veterans living with PTSD and other invisible wounds of war.
“Our customers have a way of showing up for their neighbors, and rounding up at the register is one of the simplest ways they can make a difference,” said Shawn Blankenship, Vice President of Petsense by Tractor Supply. “We’re grateful to bring the campaign back this fall and give our customers another opportunity to support veterans in the communities we serve.”
In 2025, more than 157,000 Petsense customers rounded up an average of 81 cents at checkout, collectively raising more than $130,000 to support the training and pairing of two service dogs. One of those dogs is Nash, a Labradoodle who entered formal training this summer. Nash is undergoing training at K9s For Warriors’ Shari Duval National Headquarters in Ponte Vedra, Florida, where he is learning comforting and grounding techniques, including a command called “my lap,” in which he rests his front paws across his handler’s lap to provide deep compression therapy, calming anxiety. Nash is expected to graduate and be paired with his veteran in the fall of 2026.
“Every round-up at the register represents more than a few extra cents — it helps create a life-changing bond between a Veteran and a Service Dog,” said K9s For Warriors Chief Revenue Officer Lindsay Grayson. “We are incredibly grateful to Petsense by Tractor Supply and its customers for continuing to show up for our nation’s Veterans. Together, these small acts of generosity help make it possible to rescue, train and pair more Service Dogs with Veterans who need them most.”
