Velotic Advances ThingWorx With New Agentic AI Capabilities

New AI and agent capabilities connect industrial context with existing systems and applications, helping manufacturers put intelligence to work across the environments they already operate

BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Velotic today announced a major advancement of the ThingWorx Industrial Intelligence Platform, introducing new agentic AI capabilities designed to help manufacturers connect artificial intelligence with the industrial data, systems, and applications they already rely on.

ThingWorx provides the platform backbone for Velotic’s AI strategy, connecting operational data and context with applications and intelligence. Its role is central to Velotic’s Industrial Intelligence direction – helping industrial teams understand what is happening across their operations and put that understanding to work.

Available with ThingWorx 10.2, the new capabilities include ThingWorx AI Assistant, ThingWorx MCP Server, and AI & Agent Services. Together, they provide an enterprise foundation for developing secure, extensible AI assistants and agents that work with industrial data, context, applications and existing systems.

Through support for Model Context Protocol (MCP), ThingWorx can also create MCP servers for legacy systems, giving AI agents access to operational data and context from systems that were never designed to work with AI. This gives manufacturers a practical way to extend AI into existing industrial environments and technology investments.
