Pivot Bio Opens Nominations for its 15 Under 20 Fields of Promise Honors, Recognizing the Next Generation Shaping Agriculture’s Future

New program will honor 15 individuals between the ages of 13 and 20 whose leadership, innovation and service are making a difference in agriculture and rural communities

MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Pivot Bio, one of the world’s leading agtech companies, today announced the opening of nominations for its 15 Under 20 Fields of Promise Honors which celebrates individuals between the ages of 13 and 20 whose ideas, leadership and actions are helping shape the future of agriculture, food, science and rural communities.

Launched as part of Pivot Bio’s 15th anniversary, Fields of Promise Honors will recognize an inaugural class of 15 Fellows whose ideas and leadership represent the promise of agriculture’s next generation. Nominees may be advancing scientific discovery, developing new technologies, supporting farmers, championing conservation, strengthening rural communities, or finding entirely new ways to contribute to agriculture and the people it supports.

Who can be nominated

Fields of Promise Honors recognizes contribution over credentials, celebrating young people who are already turning their curiosity, ideas and initiative into action. The program is designed to broaden the idea of what leadership can look like and inspire more people from diverse backgrounds to see a future for themselves in agriculture.

Nominations are open to young people between the ages of 13 and 20 at the time of nomination. The work or impact for which an individual is nominated must have taken place within the previous 12 months.

What Fields of Promise Fellows receive

Each selected Fields of Promise Fellow will have the opportunity to designate an eligible nonprofit organization to receive a donation from Pivot Bio, extending the impact of their recognition to a cause or organization they care about.

Together, the 15 Fellows will form the inaugural Fields of Promise Honors class, bringing together individuals from different backgrounds, communities and areas of interest who share a desire to create positive change. The cohort is designed to connect these emerging leaders, help them learn from one another and offer a broader picture of the many ways the next generation can contribute to agriculture and rural communities.
