GuidePoint Security Expands Identity and Access Management Practice With Three New Service Offerings

New Agentic AI, Identity Verification (IDV) and Non-human Identity (NHI) services help organizations assess, govern, and secure every identity type across the full lifecycle

RESTON, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--GuidePoint Security, the cybersecurity advisor and services partner organizations rely on to protect what matters most, today announced the expansion of its Identity and Access Management (IAM) practice with three new service offerings: Agentic AI, Identity Verification (IDV) and Non-human Identity (NHI). Together, these offerings help organizations assess, strengthen and modernize identity capabilities across the identity lifecycle, from onboarding and authentication to privileged access and machine identity governance.

Our comprehensive IAM services give security and identity leaders the evidence to prioritize investment and close gaps before they become findings, without adding friction for legitimate users.

Identity fraud continues to climb, and the tactics behind it are shifting. A new IDC study on identity and agentic AI, sponsored by GuidePoint Security, found that while 77.3% of organizations report high or very high confidence in their visibility across human and non-human identities, only 18.5% run continuous identity discovery. Among non-human identities, bots and AI agents have the lowest coverage, with only 41.5% of organizations including them in their identity management programs.

"The gap between perceived visibility and actual readiness is exactly where risk lives. Organizations often assume their identity and access management programs are stronger than they actually are, and that gap tends to surface at the worst possible time," said Kevin Converse, Vice President, Identity and Access Management, at GuidePoint Security. "Our comprehensive IAM services give security and identity leaders the evidence to prioritize investment and close gaps before they become findings, without adding friction for legitimate users."

GuidePoint’s expanded IAM capabilities build on its established expertise across identity governance and administration (IGA), access management (AM), privileged access management (PAM), customer identity and access management (CIAM) and Microsoft identity (AD/Entra). Its three new offerings include:

  • Agentic AI: Establishes visibility, security and control over AI agents by discovering and inventorying agent identities, establishing trust boundaries, and implementing identity lifecycle governance.
  • Identity Verification (IDV): Strengthens defenses against identity fraud across onboarding, authentication and account recovery through maturity and gap analysis benchmarked against frameworks including CMMI and NIST SP 800-63.
  • Non-human Identity (NHI): Improves visibility, ownership and control across the NHI lifecycle by discovering and assessing NHIs, establishing clear accountability, and improving privilege and credential security.

GuidePoint has already deployed these expanded services with customers across industries including retail, airlines and manufacturing, using independent assessments to surface gaps, prioritize risk and build identity programs that keep pace with how threats are evolving.

GuidePoint's IAM practice addresses the full spectrum of identity and access needs, across workforce, customer, privileged, machine and emerging AI identities. Engagements are tailored to where an organization sits on the maturity curve, and may include vendor-objective technology evaluations, helping teams compare identity solutions and select the best fit for their environment, risk profile and existing architecture.
