Jamf Announces Same-Day Support For macOS Golden Gate 27, iOS 27 And Other OS 27 Releases

Marking 15 consecutive years of offering same-day support, Jamf continues helping organizations succeed with Apple

MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jamf, the standard in managing and securing Apple at work, announced same-day support for Apple’s macOS Golden Gate 27, iOS 27, iPadOS 27, tvOS 27, visionOS 27, and watchOS 27, which became generally available today. Jamf delivers consistent and reliable support to promote business continuity for organizations that opt to upgrade immediately. Through extensive testing in Apple’s beta releases, Jamf ensures compatibility for all of Apple’s fall releases across its security and management platform – and has done so for 15 consecutive years.

"Apple sets the pace of innovation, and it's our job to keep up without slowing our customers down," said Akash Kamath, Chief Technology Officer at Jamf. "Same-day support for OS 27 reflects years of engineering discipline behind the scenes. Our goal is simple: give IT and security teams the confidence to deploy immediately and give employees uninterrupted access to the tools they depend on."

The following OS 27 features are just some of the enterprise capabilities supported by Jamf on day one:

App and security controls

Jamf's same-day support gives admins tighter, more native control over app behavior and device security. Allow/Deny Binaries gives security teams native, process-level app control enforced by macOS itself, with no custom scripts or third-party tooling required. Privacy Management in Apps, alongside new Website Permissions in Safari, collapses multiple permission prompts into one, so admins configure access once and employees see a single, clean prompt instead of a stream of interruptions. And for organizations deploying Apple Vision Pro, new visionOS Restrictions give IT teams control over device behavior, including the ability to allow or restrict Bluetooth modification and iMessage usage.

Software and infrastructure lifecycle

Support also extends declarative management to how software and content get deployed and removed across the fleet. Package Uninstall closes the loop on software lifecycle by removing software when its configuration is removed, eliminating orphaned installs. Caching Service brings granular, declarative control over local content caching, easing network strain during large-scale updates and app deployments.

Real-time fleet visibility

Admins also get a clearer, faster picture of device health and status without waiting for a device to check in. The Extended Status Channel confirms that configuration landed on a device during enrollment, before it ever reaches an end user. Fleet Monitoring surfaces hardware health data (including camera, display and more) for iOS and iPadOS devices, helping IT catch failures before they take a worker off the floor. Enhanced Logging lets admins remotely trigger diagnostic collection for troubleshooting with no user involvement required, a meaningful gain for remote and shared-device environments. And a new Lockdown Mode Status field lets admins report on which devices have Apple's extreme protection mode active while the setting itself remains user-controlled.

Compatibility with Apple's latest operating systems matters for two main reasons: it closes the door on vulnerabilities in out-of-date software, and it lets organizations upgrade without disrupting existing management and security workflows. Jamf's entire security and management platform is compatible with macOS 27 Golden Gate, iOS 27, iPadOS 27, tvOS 27, visionOS 27 and watchOS 27 from day one.
