Industry Veterans Form Reefline Capital, a Sector-Focused Private Equity Firm Investing in Growth Industrials and Aerospace & Defense Businesses

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Reefline Capital (“Reefline”) announced its formation as a sector-focused private equity firm investing in growth industrials and aerospace & defense businesses. Led by industry veterans Rick Wandoff, Scott Kirkendall and Eric Hansen, the team’s deep sector expertise was developed over nearly 25 years investing alongside each other.

Reefline Capital’s approach is a continuation of the successful Industrial Growth strategy the team employed at Blue Sea Capital. Wandoff, Kirkendall and Hansen maintain management and portfolio responsibilities with Blue Sea Capital Funds I, II and III and serve on the Investment Committee of these Funds.

“Reefline is the formation of a specialized team that has been investing alongside one another for decades,” said Wandoff. “The relationships, the playbook and the shared experience that define this team were developed over the course of building successful businesses together.”

Reefline’s 20+ team members include Drew Koeneman and Mitch Ulman, joining veteran investor and operator Jonathan Satter on the leadership team. The firm’s Operating Executives and Executive Advisors bring specialized experience and a shared history of company-building with the principals of Reefline Capital.

“I’ve had the pleasure of working with the principals of Reefline for nearly three decades. I’ve sold a business, led multiple businesses, and even founded a business with them,” said Mark Silk, ThinKom CEO and former Integrated Aerospace and Tri-Star Electronics CEO.

Current partnerships managed by the principals of Reefline Capital include MicroCare, a specialty chemicals provider; Rhino Tool House, an end-to-end assembly solutions provider; Flagger Force, a utility services provider; Plasma Processes, a defense technology provider; and Abrasive Technology, a superabrasive products provider.

The Reefline team’s history of building great companies also includes successful exits of RESA Power, NSI Industries, Sunvair Aerospace, MW Industries, Integrated Aerospace and Tri-Star Electronics.
