AM Best Comments on Credit Ratings of Partners Life Limited

SINGAPORE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--AM Best has commented that the Financial Strength Rating of A (Excellent) and the Long-Term Issuer Credit Rating of “a” (Excellent) of Partners Life Limited (Partners Life) (New Zealand) remain unchanged, following the announcement on 3 September 2026 that Partners Group Holdings Limited (Partners Group), Partners Life’s immediate parent and a wholly owned New Zealand subsidiary of Daiichi Life Group, Inc. [TSE: 8750], has entered into a share purchase agreement to acquire Fidelity Life Assurance Company Limited.

The transaction, which is subject to required regulatory approvals and completion requirements, is expected to be completed in 2027. AM Best will continue to monitor the progress of the transaction and consider any impact on Partners Life’s credit rating fundamentals.
