Brad Berthold Joins Mowery & Schoenfeld as Assurance Partner

LINCOLNSHIRE, Ill.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Mowery & Schoenfeld, a top 150 advisory, consulting, and accounting firm marking its 30^th anniversary in 2026, today announced the hiring of Brad Berthold as Assurance Partner. Berthold spent nearly 15 years at BDO USA, working his way up from associate to director during his time there.

Berthold is a CPA with extensive audit and assurance experience, advising clients through complex engagements and specializing in working with private-equity-backed portfolio companies, technology companies, and professional services firms. Before narrowing his focus to private equity, he managed audit engagements for both publicly traded and privately held entities. He has deep technical knowledge and takes a practical, hands-on, and client-focused approach to assurance. He holds both a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in accounting from Illinois State University.
