Helios Technologies' Enovation Controls Acquires Assets of Radio Sound, Expanding Electronics Offerings and Securing Multi-Year Contract with Indian Motorcycle
Strategic relationship expands Helios' share and capabilities in the recreational market and creates opportunities to leverage acquired technology across existing customers and adjacent end markets
SARASOTA, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Helios Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: HLIO) (“Helios” or the “Company”), a global leader in highly engineered motion control and electronic controls technology, today announced that it has been awarded a multi-year contract to provide advanced electronics solutions to Indian Motorcycle. In connection with the new relationship, Helios’ operating company, Enovation Controls, has acquired certain assets of Radio Sound, Inc., including intellectual property and technology capabilities that will support this new business and provide Helios with opportunities to expand its electronics solutions across its broader customer base.
The acquisition of certain Radio Sound assets will add advanced audio system products and design capabilities to Helios' existing electronics portfolio. Radio Sound brings expertise in amp-on-speaker technology, automotive audio bus (A2B) communication, automatic speaker detection, custom enclosure design, vehicle-to-vehicle communication, and antenna technologies. Helios expects to integrate the acquired intellectual property and capabilities into its Electronics segment, providing a foundation to develop additional solutions for current and prospective customers.
“This is exactly the type of strategic win we envisioned when we laid out The CORE Strategy at our Investor Day,” said Sean Bagan, President & Chief Executive Officer of Helios. “We are expanding the offerings of our Electronics segment, increasing the value we can provide to an important returning customer, and adding differentiated technology and intellectual property that can be leveraged across our broader customer base. This relationship demonstrates how our customer-centric approach to innovation can help us win back customers, capture greater wallet share with existing customers, and expand our addressable opportunities across core and adjacent end markets.”
Helios' Electronics segment provides electronic control solutions through Enovation Controls, Balboa Water Group, and i3 Product Development across health and wellness, recreational, industrial, mobile, and other applications. The segment's offerings include electronic controls, displays, software, connectivity solutions, and integrated systems designed to help customers address increasingly complex applications and end-user requirements. This new win further strengthens Helios' position in the recreational end market, where growing demand for digitalization, connectivity, and premium user experiences is driving the adoption of advanced electronics solutions.
“Indian Motorcycle has an iconic brand and a long history of delivering distinctive experiences to riders, and we are excited to support the next chapter of that journey,” said Billy Aldridge, President, Electronics of Helios. “By combining Radio Sound’s technology with Helios' industry-leading engineering, software, and electronics expertise, we can deliver a more comprehensive and differentiated solution for them while creating a scalable platform that expands our opportunities across the recreational and other attractive end markets.”
The transaction is structured as a simultaneous sign and close and is not financially material. Additional terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Indian Motorcycle became a standalone company in February 2026 following its separation from Polaris Inc.
