Reliant Infusion Names Tommy Pourmahram Chief Executive Officer

Former McKesson Oncology & Multispecialty executive joins the Shore Capital-backed specialty infusion provider to accelerate its regional and national expansion

CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Shore Capital Partners ("Shore" or "Shore Capital"), a Chicago-based private equity firm with an office in Nashville, today announced that Tommy Pourmahram has been named Chief Executive Officer of Reliant Infusion, a Shore portfolio company and provider of specialty infusion services.

Pourmahram brings more than 20 years of healthcare leadership to the role, most recently in senior executive positions at McKesson's Oncology & Multispecialty Segment. McKesson is a recognized leader in community oncology and specialty care and one of the largest diversified healthcare services companies in the United States. Pourmahram held commercial and operating leadership roles that contributed directly to the segment's growth and its position as a leader in the specialty market.

His experience spans specialty health, drug infusion, oncology operations, specialty biosimilars, generic injectables, GPO and distribution, and healthcare technology. Over his career he has had P&L responsibility for multibillion-dollar portfolios, including businesses representing more than $25 billion in annual revenue.

The transition reflects a deliberate plan to prepare Reliant Infusion for its next phase of growth. "We are thrilled to welcome Tommy to Reliant Infusion," said AJ Gauthier, Principal at Shore Capital Partners. "His depth of healthcare experience and proven leadership make him an outstanding fit for this business and this team. We are equally grateful to Brad, who built Reliant Infusion into one of the largest independent omnichannel infusion providers and will remain a strategic leader and board member."

"Tommy is the kind of leader we build our partnerships around," said Mike Cooper, Co-Founder at Shore Capital Partners. "He has led at scale in specialty care and knows how to grow a business without losing sight of the patient."

"Bringing Tommy on board is an exciting and important step for our company," said Reliant Healthcare founder Brad Smith. "Tommy shares our values and our ambition, and he is the right leader to guide our talented team forward."

"The companies that win in healthcare start with the right leader," said Frank Alderman, Lead Independent Director of Reliant Infusion and former Founder and Chief Executive Officer of MedExpress. "Tommy brings the operating discipline and vision this platform needs for its next chapter."

"Reliant Infusion has everything a leader hopes to inherit: a mission-driven culture, a clinical team that patients trust, and a foundation built the right way," said Pourmahram. "My job is to take that foundation and build a world-class infusion platform on top of it. There is enormous unmet need in this space, and with a supportive partner in Shore Capital, we intend to expand the impact we can have for the patients and providers we serve."
