Margret Trilli Named One of Pensions & Investments’ 2026 Influential Women in Institutional Investing

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--ImpactAssets Capital Partners and ImpactAssets are proud to announce that Margret Trilli, CEO and Chief Investment Officer, has been named one of Pensions & Investments’ 2026 Influential Women in Institutional Investing. The recognition highlights Trilli’s more than 25 years of investment leadership and her work expanding institutional access to impact investing while delivering financial performance alongside measurable social and environmental impact.

“Women are helping shape where institutional investing goes next by challenging long-held assumptions about where opportunity comes from, who gets to lead, and what impact investing can accomplish,” said Trilli.

Now in its fourth year, Pensions & Investments’ Influential Women in Institutional Investing program honors women making an outsized impact on the professional investment and retirement markets and driving positive change across the industry. Honorees are evaluated based on their experience, measurable results, and influence within their organizations and the broader field.

Since joining the firm as President and CIO in 2018 and then becoming CEO in 2020, Trilli has helped build ImpactAssets and ImpactAssets Capital Partners into an over $5 billion impact investing powerhouse that consistently ranks in the top ten of Pitchbook’s private market league tables. Under her leadership, the organization stewards more than 24 institutional investment mandates across public and private markets, with strategies in all major asset classes. Managing over 1,700 active investments in private funds and companies, she is at the leading edge of the alternative investments and impact investing sectors. In 2025 alone, the organization executed over 400 private market transactions, deploying more than $650M.

“Women are helping shape where institutional investing goes next by challenging long-held assumptions about where opportunity comes from, who gets to lead, and what impact investing can accomplish,” said Trilli. “As impact investing continues to grow, our responsibility is to keep raising the standard for how these strategies are built, measured, and scaled, while creating more opportunities for the next generation of women to lead.”

Trilli is a frequent voice on the future of institutional and impact investing, having been featured by Forbes, the Financial Times and Barron's, and having spoken at NY Climate Week, the Milken Global Conference, PEI and the Stanford Philanthropy Summit. She serves on the boards of the Natural Resources Defense Council, WaterEquity, and Water.org and is also on the Review Committee for the ImpactAssets 50, which she helped expand to include Emerging and Emeritus Manager categories.

Honorees for the 2026 program will be recognized at an awards ceremony and half-day conference on September 15 in Chicago.
