Intellectus Launches Dedicated Client Engagement Team to Help Define the Next Generation of Client Experience in the AI Era
New team combines family office-level service, human engagement and AI-powered capabilities in pursuit of a differentiated experience for ultra-high-net-worth clients and families
SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Intellectus Partners today announced the launch of a dedicated Client Engagement team, a new function designed to transform how clients experience and engage with the firm across its people, technology, investment capabilities, services and broader ecosystem.
The initiative represents the next stage of a strategy Intellectus has been building for years: combining increasingly sophisticated artificial intelligence with an even higher standard of personal service, judgment and human engagement.
Intellectus calls that philosophy Human Touch AI.
“AI is going to fundamentally change wealth management, but our vision has never been to use technology to put distance between the advisor and the client,” said David La Placa, Founder and CEO of Intellectus. “It is exactly the opposite. We believe AI can make our people dramatically more capable while allowing us to become more proactive, more personal and more responsive. Our objective is to combine advanced technology with an extraordinary level of human service.”
From Building AI to Delivering It
The new Client Engagement team builds on Intellectus’ multi-year investment in artificial intelligence and digital advisory technology.
That work has included the development and subsequent spinout of Intellebox.ai, the AI platform that provides the technological foundation for much of this new Client Engagement model, as well as continued internal development of IntellectusIQ and other proprietary AI capabilities across the Intellectus platform.
Together, these technologies are allowing Intellectus to rethink not only how advice is delivered, but how a wealth and investment firm can engage with, understand and serve its clients.
“The question is increasingly shifting from what can we build? to how do we make every client meaningfully better off because we built it?” La Placa said. “That requires people who can translate innovation into experiences that are intuitive, useful and personal.”
Importantly, the mandate extends well beyond technology.
Intellectus serves a community of ultra-high-net-worth entrepreneurs, founders, executives and significant families whose financial lives often span operating companies, concentrated wealth, private investments and complex family structures.
The new team will work across Intellectus with a mandate focused on anticipating client needs, increasing proactive engagement, coordinating complex requests, connecting clients with resources across the firm and its external network, and helping clients access the breadth of Intellectus’ investment platform, Family Office Services, Founder’s Advisory, Private Markets, research, Connexus network, educational programming and AI capabilities.
The ambition is intentionally high: to build toward a model combining the attentiveness of an exceptional family office, the capabilities of a sophisticated investment organization and the intelligence and responsiveness of an AI-native platform.
Building the Team
To launch the function, Intellectus has added Raymond Fernandez as Vice President, Strategic Client Services & Engagement and Zana Hrvacic as Platform & Client Engagement Lead.
Fernandez joins Intellectus after nearly eight years at ICONIQ, where he worked within its family office platform where he supported some of Silicon Valley’s most sophisticated family-office relationships. Earlier in his career, he developed his client-service experience at First Republic. At Intellectus, Fernandez will focus on strategic client service, complex client initiatives and family office-style coordination.
Hrvacic brings more than a decade of experience across AI-enabled wealth technology, private wealth, family office services and enterprise transformation. Most recently, she served as Director, Account Management & Marketing Lead at Venture backed Arta Finance, where she led engagement for the firm’s largest customers, drove platform and product adoption, developed client education programs and helped build scalable engagement and onboarding models. Her earlier experience includes Capco, Gofen & Glossberg and BMO, including BMO’s Family Office business.
Together, Fernandez and Hrvacic bring complementary experience to the new Client Engagement team—Fernandez in high-touch family-office service and Hrvacic in client engagement, platform adoption and AI-enabled wealth technology.
Building the Next Generation of Client Experience
The creation of the team reflects a broader Intellectus vision for the future of wealth management—one in which exceptional human relationships, proactive engagement and increasingly powerful technology can come together to support an entirely new standard of client experience.
“The best client experience is when a client feels like the entire firm knows them, understands what matters to them, and is already thinking one step ahead,” said Jay Casey, Co-Founder of Intellectus, who has a particular focus on client experience. “That’s the standard we’re building toward. Technology can help us deliver it at a level that simply wasn’t possible before.”
The Client Engagement team will also be focused on strengthening the connection between clients and Intellectus’ investment professionals, service teams and AI developers—helping bring the voice of the client directly into how the firm evolves.
As Intellectus continues to develop new investment capabilities, services and technology, the team will focus on translating that innovation into tangible elements of the client experience—including better access, greater responsiveness, more relevant ideas and an increasingly personalized relationship with the firm.
Intellectus believes that high growth, when supported by the right technology and continued investment in exceptional people, can drive better client outcomes, higher service levels and an increasingly differentiated client experience.
“We are building a very different kind of investment and advisory firm,” La Placa said. “Sophisticated clients want great judgment, extraordinary responsiveness, access, ideas, problem solving and people who genuinely understand what matters to them. Our growth and our technology investments should allow us to deliver more of all of those things—not simply operate more efficiently.”
“The future isn’t AI or human advice. We believe it’s Human Touch AI—and an entirely new standard of service built around it.”
