RightCrowd Introduces RightCrowd AI, Bringing Expertise, Analysis and Guidance into One Conversation

Built into RightCrowd SmartAccess, it helps users find answers, explore data, build rules and make requests within existing permissions and approvals.

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--RightCrowd today announced RightCrowd AI, built into RightCrowd SmartAccess, enabling users to manage physical identities and access by describing what they need in plain language. It is designed to shorten the gap between an access question and an action.

"RightCrowd AI will change how organizations manage physical identity governance at every level moving forward"

Physical access teams field questions that carry real consequences: who still has access they no longer need, which credentials have gone unused for months, and whether a contractor's access ended when their assignment did. Answering those questions usually requires knowing exactly where to look in the system, and that knowledge tends to sit with a small number of trained administrators.

RightCrowd AI works across RightCrowd SmartAccess in a single conversation, helping users find answers, explore their data, build rules, and make requests.

"For more than 20 years, RightCrowd has helped some of the world's largest organizations automate complex physical access processes," said Jason Bohrer, CEO, RightCrowd. "RightCrowd AI now brings the full depth and breadth of the RightCrowd SmartAccess platform to an entirely different level of capability. It will change how organizations manage physical identity governance at every level moving forward."

Reporting and data exploration

RightCrowd AI does more than return a result. It explains what the result means, adds relevant context, flags what stands out, and suggests next steps.

Ask about unused credentials, for example, and the answer is more than a list of names. RightCrowd AI can spot patterns in the result, help the user explore the data from different angles, turn a finding worth monitoring into a recurring report, and carry that same context forward into a proposed rule, all without the user starting over, hunting for another part of the application, or figuring out which AI capability to use next.

"Most meaningful access questions do not end with a list or a number," said Bart Vansevenant, CTO, RightCrowd. "They lead to a follow-up question, and then another. We built RightCrowd AI to support that back-and-forth rather than stop at the first answer, because that is usually the difference between knowing about a problem and closing it."

Rules and requests

RightCrowd AI applies the same conversational approach to rules and requests. Users can describe what should happen in plain language, and RightCrowd AI helps them understand existing rules, adapt them to how the organization actually works, build new rule logic, troubleshoot what isn't working, and preview the expected impact before anything is activated.

The same holds for requests. A user can simply state what they need — temporary access, a lost badge replacement, a visitor registration — and RightCrowd AI gathers the relevant information and sets the appropriate RightCrowd SmartAccess process in motion, without requiring them to know where that process starts. Existing permissions, approvals, validation, and customer-defined workflows still apply throughout.

Customer controls and governance

RightCrowd AI brings AI into physical access governance without creating a second path around the controls organizations already rely on.

RightCrowd AI operates within RightCrowd SmartAccess permissions and customer-defined processes. It is disabled by default, and customers control whether to enable it, which capabilities are available and who can use them. Actions that change the system, such as activating a rule, are presented for review and confirmation before taking effect. Confirmed changes are logged through standard RightCrowd SmartAccess audit processes.

Similarly, RightCrowd AI gives customers flexibility through a Bring Your Own Model (BYOM) approach. Customers connect RightCrowd AI to the model endpoint approved for their organization instead of being required to adopt a model mandated by RightCrowd. They can align their AI deployment with existing requirements for security, procurement, compliance, data residency, cost, and AI governance, rather than adapting those requirements to a vendor's choice of model.

RightCrowd AI changes how people work with RightCrowd SmartAccess. It does not change who is in control of what happens next.
