Traversal Makes Incident Workers Generally Available and Launches Alert Workers

Proactive AI SREs that join incident channels, run their own investigations, and cut alert noise become the default SRE experience across Slack and Microsoft Teams

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Traversal, the leading AI site reliability engineering platform backed by Sequoia and Kleiner Perkins, today announced the general availability of Incident Workers, the public beta of Alert Workers, and the launch of the Workers console—a web surface for deploying and managing a full fleet of agents. Together, they provide a proactive system that supports enterprise teams investigating incidents and triaging alerts.

"Our platform unlocked use cases faster than we could sell them."

"This quarter, a customer called their first experience the 'Claude Code moment for SRE,'" said Anish Agarwal, CEO & Co-founder of Traversal. "Our platform unlocked use cases faster than we could sell them. That traces back to one early decision: build Traversal around incident root cause analysis for complex enterprises, the hardest reasoning problem in software reliability. Now, with Workers, we continue to build toward a world where SREs can spend less time triaging, and more time building resilient systems.”

An Incident Worker is a proactive AI SRE that joins an incident channel the moment something breaks, decides for itself when to engage, and owns the investigation end to end. It runs on Traversal's Causal Search Engine™ and Production World Model™, the same foundation behind the rest of the platform, so it carries out a real investigation rather than wrapping a chat interface around telemetry.

Since entering public beta on June 30, Workers have run across thousands of real incidents at some of the largest enterprises in the world, helping teams close incidents faster, pull fewer people into war rooms, and find the root cause before the full response team is paged.

Alert Workers, now in public beta, bring the same intelligence to noisy alert channels. An Alert Worker learns which alerts are routine, reasons across signals, dedupes repetitive noise, and surfaces the handful that are new or meaningful, with the reasoning attached. Teams steer it in plain English, with instructions like "only page me on Sev1 and Sev2" or "ignore anything from staging." The result is fewer false pages, faster detection, and more incidents avoided before they start.

The Workers console gives teams one place to deploy and manage their fleet. Engineers can see every Worker across every channel, open any one to read its live synthesis of the incident, and ask it questions in private chat without adding channel noise. When there is no channel yet, they can start a shared Worker session from the web.

The launch caps the strongest quarter in company history. Traversal's ARR has grown 8× over the past six months, monthly active users are up about 14× since January, and customers ran more than 71,400 investigations last quarter. That work supported roughly 2,500 engineers across 1,000 major incidents, 15,000 minor incidents, and 5,000 production changes, and has returned tens of millions of dollars in customer ROI.

More than half of Traversal's activity now comes from workflows the company never built for, including CMDB validation, release validation, data ops, infrastructure resource management, and cost optimization. In one customer-built workflow, an engineer used Traversal to find redundant logging and uncovered more than $1M a year in potential observability savings.

Incident Workers are generally available today. Alert Workers are available in public beta. Both run inside Slack and Microsoft Teams; and are available on the new Traversal Workers console, with no prompting or configuration required. Those interested can book a demo to deploy their first Worker.

About Traversal

Traversal is an AI platform for site reliability engineering that reduces downtime and increases engineering productivity. Two proprietary AI breakthroughs power the system: Traversal’s continuously updated Production World Model™, which maps your system in real time, and its Causal Search Engine™, which re-indexes telemetry so AI can run thousands of targeted queries in parallel – identifying deep root causes and enabling self-healing. Built for enterprise-scale complexity, Traversal can handle petabytes of data across siloed platforms – reducing investigation time from hours to minutes.

Traversal is backed by world-class investors including Sequoia and Kleiner Perkins, and was founded by AI researchers from MIT, Columbia, Berkeley, and Cornell.
