ShipStation® Brings Freight and Parcel Into One Platform With Less-Than-Truckload Capability
A key product integration following ShipStation Global's merger creates an end-to-end intelligent logistics platform.
AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--ShipStation, a leading intelligent shipping and logistics platform for small and mid-sized shippers, today announced that less-than-truckload (LTL) freight shipping is now available directly inside the ShipStation platform. Customers can access real-time LTL rate quotes, book shipments, and track freight in the same workflow where they already manage their logistics operations, including parcel shipping.
ShipStation customers can access real-time LTL rates through ShipStation Global's carrier network, create and manage LTL orders alongside parcel, track shipments, and manage invoicing across both modes.

The launch is the first major product integration since Auctane and WWEX Group completed their merger in June to form ShipStation Global, delivering on its promise to enable growing businesses to manage all their logistics — from freight to parcel — through a single intelligent platform. This launch brings these capabilities together within ShipStation, the company’s flagship product offering.
ShipStation customers can access real-time LTL rates through ShipStation Global's carrier network, create and manage LTL orders alongside parcel, track shipments, and manage invoicing across both modes. New ShipStation customers can set up a freight account and access competitive rates within minutes, with no prior carrier relationship required. Customers can also bring their already-negotiated Worldwide Express or Unishippers LTL rates.
“ShipStation built its reputation on parcel shipping technology, tailor made for small and mid-sized shippers,” said Tom Madine, CEO of ShipStation Global. “Today, it includes so much more, from inventory management to returns and analytics, all powered by ShipStation Intelligence™. Allowing our customers to manage their end-to-end logistics, including freight, in one place feels like a natural extension and, crucially, a pivotal step toward multi-modal intelligence.”
Historically, shipping data is split across parcel systems, freight brokers, and warehouse tools. According to ShipStation’s 2026 Merchant Insights Report, 78% of merchants already ship freight, and more than half manage it separately from their parcel operation, often through a broker or provider with no connection to their shipping software. Nearly three-quarters of merchants say having one provider for shipping, freight, and warehousing is important or very important to them.
Data and operations spread across disparate systems make it difficult for small and mid-sized shippers to see the full picture of their own operations, let alone apply intelligent tools to it. Bringing freight and parcel data into a single system is a pivotal step toward empowering small and mid-sized shippers with advanced, enterprise-grade intelligence.
“Freight was the missing piece for ShipStation customers, and now it's here,” said Travis Rimel, Chief Product Officer of ShipStation Global. “This isn't just a new feature; it's a foundation. Bringing freight and parcel data together lets us build smarter tools on top of it, so merchants can make better logistics decisions across their operations. And we’re just getting started.”
