Hims Arrives in Australia, Bringing Personalised Care for Men Nationwide
Pilot becomes Hims, bringing innovative, personalised care to help Australian men manage sexual health, weight loss, and hair loss
SYDNEY--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Hims & Hers, the leading global health and wellness platform, today announced it is officially launching the Hims brand in Australia and bringing its personalised care platform to men nationwide.
The entry follows Hims & Hers' acquisition of Eucalyptus earlier this year and begins with the rebrand of Pilot, Eucalyptus' men's health platform. Effective today, Pilot becomes Hims. Patients will maintain the treatment plans and provider relationships they rely on, now backed by a platform used and loved by millions of men worldwide.
"For Australian men, digital care isn't just about convenience. It's about getting proactive help with the health issues that matter most to them, instead of waiting until it's unavoidable," said Gus Wood, General Manager of Australia at Hims & Hers. "Pilot has spent years earning that trust in Australia. Now we're building on that foundation with the leading global platform that sets the standard for men's health worldwide, so men can take charge of their health in the way that works for them, no matter where they live."
The stakes are highest outside major cities. Nearly 30% of Australians live in regional and rural Australia, where distance from a GP or specialist can impact whether care happens at all. Where Pilot's care team was previously available 12 hours a day, Hims' in Australia extends that to 24/7 access, pairing proactive, comprehensive treatment with a Care Team patients can reach any hour, making quality care seamless and straightforward.
"As a practising GP, I've seen how often men wait too long to act on something that was manageable if caught early," said Matt Vickers, FRACGP, MBBS, BMedSci, AICGG, Chief Medical Officer of Hims Australia. "This launch unites clinical rigour and convenience. Every treatment plan is grounded in the same evidence-based standards I'd want for my own patients, just delivered in a way that fits into a man's life instead of asking him to work around it. That's how we actually move the needle on men's health outcomes here, not just access to it."
Patients will keep what they valued most from Pilot – Australian providers, local support, and continuity of care – while gaining access to a wider range of personalised care options built specifically for men's health. The launch also introduces combinations of care that bring together treatments that some patients previously received separately, including for premature ejaculation and cholesterol management. Patients will also gain access to new clinical pathways across multiple treatments and innovative formulations.
Serving Australian patients well starts with local leadership and clinical expertise. Tim Doyle, former CEO of Eucalyptus and now Hims & Hers Senior Vice President of International, will oversee the Australian market alongside Gus Wood, General Manager of Australia. Dr. Matt Vickers, FRACGP, MBBS, BMedSci, AICGG, will serve as Chief Medical Officer of Hims Australia, ensuring care is grounded in local clinical standards from day one.
