Conti Federal Completes Aircraft Complex at F.E. Warren Air Force Base

New facility supports transition to MH-139A Grey Wolf and strengthens critical nuclear deterrence mission

CHEYENNE, Wyo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Conti Federal Services, LLC, a leading federal construction and design-build firm, has completed the Helicopter Squadron Operations and Tactical Response Force (TRF) facility at F.E. Warren Air Force Base. The project was celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by military leaders, elected officials, community partners and representatives from the project team.

The new facility supports F.E. Warren’s transition from its 57-year-old UH-1N Huey helicopters to the modern MH-139A Grey Wolf. The Grey Wolf is larger and requires new infrastructure to support aircrews, maintainers and defenders. The completed complex provides modern infrastructure for personnel responsible for operating, maintaining and supporting the Grey Wolf as F.E. Warren continues its transition to a modern helicopter fleet and advances its national security mission for years to come.

“This project represents exactly the type of complex, mission-critical work Conti Federal is built to deliver,” said Peter Ceribelli, Chief Executive Officer of Conti Federal Services. “It’s been a long and, at times, very challenging road to get here. But today, we can say we made it. We are proud to have partnered with the USACE Omaha District, our outstanding Trade Partners and the 90th Missile Wing to deliver modern infrastructure that supports F.E. Warren’s mission.”

The complex brings together the 37th Helicopter Squadron and the 90th Security Forces Group’s Tactical Response Force, supporting the broader nuclear security mission at F.E. Warren. The facility includes Helicopter Squadron Operations, a TRF Alert Crew Facility, Alert Aircraft Shelter, Aircraft Maintenance Unit, Aircraft Maintenance Shelter, and Aircraft Simulator Complex with a Satellite Fire Station. Specialized spaces include a carbon fiber shop that supports maintenance of the modern aircraft and its mission.

This project is one of several mission-critical facilities Conti Federal has supported for the USACE Omaha District, including ten B-21 Raider infrastructure projects currently underway at Ellsworth Air Force Base, Formal Training Unit at Grand Forks Air Force Base, and Fighter Alert Shelter at Truax Field.
