Midwest Logistics Systems invests in future drivers through company-sponsored CDL training program

Program helps individuals launch rewarding careers in transportation

CELINA, Ohio--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Midwest Logistics Systems (MLS) is investing in the next generation of drivers through a company-sponsored Commercial Driver's License (CDL) training program designed to help individuals start careers in the transportation industry.

The program covers tuition costs and lodging for qualified candidates attending a participating truck driving school in Ohio and provides a direct pathway into a professional driving career with MLS upon successful completion of training. The initiative reflects MLS's commitment to investing in people and creating opportunities for individuals seeking stable, long-term careers.

Following successful completion of CDL training, graduates join MLS and begin professional driving careers serving automotive manufacturing customers through the reliable movement of freight. MLS drivers enjoy out-and-back dedicated routes, no-touch freight and work with the same customers and locations every day. This provides a highly desirable, predictable work schedule with daily time at home. New drivers joining MLS earn an average of $1,000 to $1,250 per week, with safety and performance bonuses of up to $600 per quarter.

"We believe great drivers are the foundation of our success," said Schneider Senior Vice President Jason Howe, whose responsibilities include MLS. "By investing in CDL training, we're helping remove barriers for individuals who are ready to build a rewarding career while strengthening the transportation workforce for the future."

Transportation continues to be an essential part of the nation's economy, creating opportunities for individuals who are looking for meaningful work, professional growth and dependable career paths. Through its company-sponsored CDL training program, MLS helps candidates gain the skills and credentials needed to enter the industry with confidence. Tuition is covered by MLS, and participants receive support throughout the training process. Lodging assistance is also available for individuals who require accommodations while attending training.
