FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Haig Partners LLC, a leading buy-sell advisory firm to auto retailers in the United States, served as the exclusive sell-side advisor to O’Gara Coach, one of the largest luxury dealerships in the world, with locations in Beverly Hills, San Diego, and Westlake Village. O’Gara Coach sold its La Jolla platform, consisting of O’Gara Coach Bugatti, O’Gara Coach Lamborghini, O’Gara Coach McLaren, O’Gara Coach Rolls Royce as well as O’Gara Coach Bentley located in Rancho Santa Fe.

California continues to attract significant interest from sophisticated and motivated buyers, both domestic and international.

These dealerships have been renamed San Diego Luxury Motors. The buyer of the dealerships is not being disclosed.

This transaction is meaningful for two reasons.

First, California continues to attract significant interest from sophisticated and motivated buyers, both domestic and international. Demand has been supported by improving regulatory clarity, including developments related to CARB, as well as the state’s position as the largest automotive market in the United States and one of the largest economies globally. Continued economic strength, supported in part by growth in AI and technology, has reinforced buyer confidence and transaction activity. Buyers who have invested in California in prior cycles are benefiting today, and sellers entering the market are well positioned to achieve strong outcomes.

So far this year, Haig Partners estimates 45 dealerships have traded hands in California, up 52% from the same period last year.

Second, the sale demonstrates the strong demand for premium and luxury brands in the United States. Collective sales for Bentley, Bugatti, Lamborghini and Rolls Royce have increased by over 34% from 2019-2024 while overall sales of all new vehicles declined by 9% during that period. Other luxury brands are also selling well. The demand for BMW, Lexus, Mercedes-Benz and other premium brands is at or above all-time high levels as evident by the Haig Partners Blue Sky Multiples chart available on its Quarterly Haig Report. The demand tracks the rapid growth in the number of high and ultra-high net worth consumers in the US.

“I live in Southern California, so it was a privilege to represent O’Gara Coach La Jolla and Rancho Santa Fe,” said Jayson Crouch, Managing Director who leads growth for Haig Partners in the Western Region of the United States. “We brought the assets to market during a dynamic period for buy-sell activity in California, and as clarity improved around CARB and broader industry factors, including tariffs, buyer demand and valuations strengthened meaningfully.

"We ran a disciplined, confidential and competitive sales process with a targeted group of sophisticated buyers across the country. By maintaining control of the process, we maximized competitive tension and delivered an outcome that maximized the value of the dealerships.”
