Program accelerates deployment of advanced nuclear energy for national security
CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Westinghouse Government Services (WGS) announces that the eVinci™ microreactor has been selected by the U.S. Department of the Army for the next phase of the Janus Program.
As the Army’s next-generation nuclear power initiative, the Janus Program is supported by the Department of War Innovation Unit (DIU) to accelerate advanced microreactor technologies that can deliver secure, resilient and reliable energy to support mission requirements at national defense installations. The Army’s selection is a key milestone in accelerating the use of advanced energy solutions for critical defense missions.

Under the Janus Program, selected vendors are expected to be paired with one of nine military installations currently under consideration for microreactor technologies.
