Through the partnership, Parrot Analytics will help the Academy better understand audience composition, demand, sentiment and affinity across key markets; assess the reach and value of distribution opportunities; and identify opportunities for content, talent and brand partnerships. The collaboration will provide the Academy with a deeper understanding of how audiences connect with television, talent and cultural moments across platforms and markets.

“As the television landscape continues to evolve, timely insight is essential to how we plan for the Academy’s year-round initiatives,” said Susan Spencer, chief marketing officer and senior vice president, media and brand management, Television Academy. “Parrot Analytics will give us a deeper understanding of audience reach, composition and affinity across key markets, helping us make more informed strategic decisions while remaining true to our mission of celebrating excellence.”

The insights will support the Academy’s strategic planning, programming and partnership development and will have no role in the Emmy Awards competition or voting processes.

“For nearly 80 years, the Television Academy has set the standard for celebrating excellence in television,” said Wared Seger, chief executive officer, Parrot Analytics. “We are honored to bring our expertise in valuation, audience demand and brand affinity to support the Academy’s strategic priorities and help strengthen the reach and value of its flagship programs and partnerships.”

Drawing on audience behavior from more than 2 billion people worldwide, Parrot Analytics’ enterprise-grade AI platform provides a global view of how content, talent and brands connect with audiences, with safeguards that keep customer data from being used to train general-purpose AI models. Through this partnership, Parrot Analytics will provide tailored insights and strategic briefings to support the Academy’s strategic planning, programming and membership initiatives.

Parrot Analytics recently hosted a panel at the Academy’s Televerse 26 festival that explored how audiences and execs spot stories that travel, which countries are leading the global expansion of IP and how overseas trends shape and define what makes it to air.
