Simon Greenstone Panatier Garners Consecutive Lawyer of the Year Recognitions
Five firm attorneys earn The Best Lawyers in America honors
DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--For the second consecutive year, a name shareholder with the respected trial firm Simon Greenstone Panatier has been selected as The Best Lawyers in America’s Dallas-Fort Worth Lawyer of the Year for plaintiffs' mass tort and class action litigation.
A trailblazer in mass torts addressing the devastating effects of the nation’s opioid crisis and of human-made climate change, founding shareholder Jeffrey Simon succeeds fellow name shareholder Chris Panatier as the best North Texas-based attorney in the fiercely competitive field of multidistrict litigation and other complex cases involving multiple plaintiffs in jurisdictions nationwide.
Mr. Simon and Mr. Panatier are two of the five Simon Greenstone Panatier attorneys recognized in the 2027 Best Lawyers legal guide, which uses peer recommendations and professional accomplishments to compile a list of the nation’s top attorneys across a wide range of practice areas.
David Greenstone, the firm’s managing shareholder, earned repeat recognition not only for his robust representation of plaintiffs in mass tort and class action litigation, but also for his work on behalf of plaintiffs in personal injury litigation. He regularly represents clients in cases involving toxic exposures, environmental litigation, products liability and other catastrophic injuries.
They are joined by Dallas-based shareholders Leah Kagan and Charles Soechting Jr., and New York associate Robert Ellis.
Recognized for her plaintiffs' product liability litigation work, Ms. Kagan secured a groundbreaking $1.6 million verdict in the country’s first talcum powder exposure case; upheld on appeal. Her practice focuses on toxic torts and products liability in state, federal and bankruptcy courts. She is a member of The American Association for Justice and a Next Generation Leader of the American Constitution Society for Law and Policy.
This is the fourth consecutive selection for Mr. Soechting in the area of plaintiffs' personal injury litigation. The head of the firm’s catastrophic injury department, his practice focuses on serious personal injury and wrongful death cases involving commercial trucking wrecks, premises and product liability claims and general negligence litigation.
Mr. Ellis was recognized for plaintiffs' product liability litigation. His practice focuses on asbestos and cosmetic talc exposure litigation.
