Skanska Announces Promotion of Anubhav Bhargava to Executive Vice President and General Manager

BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Skanska, a leading global construction and development firm, today announced the promotion of Anubhav (Abu) Bhargava to Executive Vice President and General Manager of its New England Operating Unit. In this role, Bhargava will provide overall leadership for Skanska’s New England operations, with responsibility for strategy, performance and growth.

Bhargava brings nearly 30 years of construction industry experience, including 17 years with Skanska. He joined the company in 2008 as a Project Executive and Operations Manager in Maryland before relocating to Massachusetts in 2013, where he has held a series of leadership roles with increasing responsibility. Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President and Account Manager.

Throughout his career, Bhargava has led work across a broad range of sectors, including life sciences, higher education, aviation, federal, commercial, transportation and manufacturing. He has also played an important role in advancing Skanska’s One Skanska approach, strengthening collaboration and partnerships across the company’s businesses on projects including the Massport Central Garage TNC Relocation, NOAA OMAO Ship & Support Facility, Terminal E Garage & Roadways Project, 733 10th & G Project and Simmons University’s Living and Learning Center.

Bhargava is recognized for building high-performing teams, strengthening customer relationships and delivering results on complex projects. His leadership has helped position Skanska’s New England business for long-term growth while fostering strong partnerships with clients, employees and industry stakeholders. Bhargava holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Regional Engineering College in Kurukshetra, India, and a master’s degree in construction management from Arizona State University.
