CareScout Redefines Worksite Long-Term Care Insurance With a Solution That Goes Further for Employers and Employees

RICHMOND, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--CareScout today announced the launch of its first worksite solution, offering employers a new way to support their workforce with long-term care insurance coverage that includes immediate access to care planning, navigation and caregiving support.

"By combining long-term care insurance protection for policyholders with practical support for them and their family members, we’re helping families navigate aging with greater confidence.”

The launch comes as employers face growing workforce challenges driven by longer lifespans and increasing caregiving responsibilities. Within the next decade, older adults are expected to outnumber children in the United States for the first time in history. More than half of adults in their 40s are part of the “sandwich generation,” balancing care needs of aging parents and children while managing careers of their own.

“Most long-term care insurance products are designed to help people prepare for a future care event,” said Samir Shah, CEO of CareScout. “What makes this offering different is that policyholders can begin accessing care planning, navigation and caregiving support immediately – whether they’re helping an aging parent today or preparing for their own future needs. By combining long-term care insurance protection for policyholders with practical support for them and their family members, we’re helping families navigate aging with greater confidence.”

Key features include:

  • Flexible plan design aligned to employer goals, with options for voluntary, employer-paid, or employer contribution models
  • Available to employers with as few as 10 employees, supporting small and mid-sized organizations
  • Multiple underwriting pathways, including modified guaranteed issue, simplified issue, and full underwriting
  • Employees and their families can apply for a policy, including spouses, partners, and extended family members
  • Access to the CareScout Quality Network, a network of vetted care providers that meet rigorous quality standards and offer preferred pricing for home care
  • Care coordination and navigation support to help families identify care solutions and put care plans into action
  • Availability is subject to state approvals

“Employers are increasingly seeing the impact caregiving responsibilities have on retention and workforce stability,” said Cori Mooberry, director of worksite solutions at CareScout. “Employees are looking for support that extends beyond traditional health and retirement benefits, and this solution helps meet that need – supporting families today while helping them plan for what’s ahead.”

The launch reflects a broader shift in employee benefits as organizations look for new ways to support workforce well-being, caregiving responsibilities, and long-term financial preparedness across longer lives.
