Wilson Sonsini Appoints Victor Nuñez as Chief Financial Officer

Veteran Law Firm Executive to Lead Global Finance Function and Support Firm’s Continued Growth

Based in New York, Nuñez brings more than two decades of financial and operational experience at global law firms. He joins Wilson Sonsini as the firm continues to invest in the people, processes, and capabilities that support its long-term success and the needs of its clients.

Nuñez joins Wilson Sonsini following the recent appointment of chief operating officer (COO) Kate Stonestreet, under whose leadership he will oversee the firm’s global finance function, including financial planning, accounting, treasury, and related operations.

Nuñez most recently served as global COO at Cooley LLP, where he led the firm's worldwide business operations. Previously, Nuñez served as global COO at Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP and as global CFO at Norton Rose Fulbright. Earlier in his legal industry career, he spent more than 15 years at White & Case, where he held a variety of finance and management roles before becoming COO for the Americas. He began his career in finance and strategy roles at American Express.

Nuñez holds an M.I.A. from Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs and a B.A. from Wesleyan University. He also completed the Stanford Executive Program at Stanford Graduate School of Business.
