"We built 401GO because the legacy retirement industry's complex, 'rented' infrastructure left small businesses and their workers behind," said 401GO CEO and Co-Founder Dan Beck. "To fix this broken system at scale, we need financial discipline and a go-to-market engine that matches the power of our vertically integrated technology. Brad and Marc bring the exact experience we need to scale our operations, empower our advisor partners, and ultimately bring financial wellness to millions of underserved workers."
Sawaya brings more than 15 years of finance leadership across fintech and SaaS companies, with experience helping technology businesses scale while maintaining the financial and operational discipline required to serve customers reliably. Most recently, he served as CFO of BillingPlatform, where he helped guide the company through a period of rapid expansion. He previously held finance roles at General Electric, VMware and EMC and began his career at Ernst & Young, auditing technology companies including Hewlett-Packard. A Certified Public Accountant with deep expertise in capital raising and strategic finance, Sawaya will help 401GO invest responsibly in the technology, service and partner support that financial advisors, plan sponsors and HR teams rely on to deliver effective retirement plans.
"I look for companies at this exact inflection point: where a superior, proprietary product is ready to serve more people, " said Sawaya. "My focus is to build the financial foundation that allows us to grow responsibly while continuing to democratize access to retirement benefits for businesses that have historically been priced out.”
Jacobs joins 401GO with over 20 years of experience building go-to-market organizations at some of the fastest-growing companies in technology. As the first Vice President of Sales at Greenhouse, he built the company’s outbound, new business and renewals teams from the ground up, developing a scalable approach to customer acquisition and retention.
He later led Sales and Customer Success at CB Insights, helping drive tenfold revenue growth over four years, and served as the first Chief Revenue Officer at Spring Health, where he built the go-to-market organization that supported the company’s growth to unicorn status and more than twentyfold revenue expansion. Most recently, he served as Chief Revenue Officer at Freshpaint and CHEQ, leading global revenue teams across North America, Europe and Asia.
At 401GO, Jacobs will focus on expanding the company’s reach among financial advisors, plan sponsors, payroll providers and HR teams, while strengthening the sales and service model needed to support long-term partner and client relationships.
"Legacy recordkeepers have ignored the small business market for decades because their technology was simply too expensive and complex," said Jacobs. "401GO's platform actually solves this systemic problem. I joined because there is a massive opportunity to build a go-to-market engine that connects our technology with the financial advisors, payroll partners, and employers who are desperate for a modern, frictionless retirement solution."
As 401GO enters this next phase of growth, the company remains rooted in providing businesses of all sizes with greater financial freedom. Through its innovative automated technology, a simple, affordable and beneficial retirement plan is finally practical for businesses of all sizes.
