Anaconda Acquires Enkrypt AI to Secure the Trillion-Token Enterprise

Acquisition adds AI model security and safety to the Anaconda Platform, giving enterprises a governed path to validate, mitigate, and trust the models, agents, and MCP servers they run in production

AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Anaconda Inc., the trusted foundation for AI-native development, today announced it has acquired Enkrypt AI, the AI security and compliance solution that finds and mitigates risks hidden inside enterprise AI. With Enkrypt AI, the Anaconda Platform now governs every step from a builder’s first prompt to their AI-native application running in production. Every model, agent, and MCP server along the way becomes one the enterprise can trust.

For more than a decade, Anaconda has been building, curating, and securing the open source packages and models AI teams depend on, and that foundation now extends across the full AI-native development lifecycle. Production-grade AI orchestration is now built directly into the platform, giving teams a governed path from experimentation to production, and its recent acquisition of Kilo Code extended that foundation into the agentic engineering environments where builders work.

Now, Enkrypt AI adds the security, governance, and compliance layer that is required to help ensure the complete AI agent stack produces safe, trustworthy results at enterprise scale, from models to MCP servers. It is vendor-neutral and cloud-agnostic, built for organizations deploying autonomous AI agents. Bringing this all together, Anaconda emerges as the single, enterprise-ready foundation for building, securing, and orchestrating AI-native systems, without sacrificing builder velocity or enterprise guardrails.

For many organizations, the gap between what agents can do and what enterprises can trust them to do has become a board-level liability. As enterprises race toward trillion-token scale in their AI usage, CTOs are counting on agents to make their teams faster and more competitive. At the same time, CISOs strive for safety and security as AI agents become more autonomous. But as enterprises assign real work to autonomous agents, their attack surface grows significantly. Every model an agent runs on, every tool it calls, and every MCP server it touches introduces a potential exposed attack vector. In the past two months alone, Enkrypt AI scanned more than 268,000 tools, the individual functions that AI agents call, across 25,000 MCP servers. It found more than 143,000 vulnerabilities, affecting 73% of those servers.

Enkrypt AI extends its capabilities beyond agents to support the frontier AI models enterprises use. The company is an OpenAI compliance integration partner, giving enterprises running ChatGPT Enterprise turnkey access to its audit, compliance, and guardrail controls. The same model-agnostic approach is coming soon to enterprises relying on Anthropic.

To support today's enterprises, Enkrypt AI translates complex regulatory frameworks into controls and guardrails that are enforced automatically. This includes the NIST AI Risk Management Framework and the EU AI Act, along with industry-specific regulations, giving enterprises verifiable compliance and a reduced attack surface.

"Enterprises are running AI-native applications and services that already contain exploitable vulnerabilities and weaknesses, leaving them exposed to unknown risks they cannot easily address," said David DeSanto, CEO of Anaconda. "Enkrypt AI makes the unknown known, giving teams the security and guardrails required to get the board, CISO, and legal sign-off they need to scale systems with confidence. We're thrilled to welcome the Enkrypt AI team to Anaconda."

“There’s a difference between running AI, and running AI safely,” said Sahil Agarwal, co-founder and CEO of Enkrypt AI. “Enterprises are actively looking for a way to reduce AI model security risk, before it levels up to a boardroom problem. Trust can't be added after an agent ships, it has to be built into and run on a trusted foundation from day one. We’ve found the right home with Anaconda and are excited to join forces and make this a reality for organizations looking for a platform that delivers AI model security and safety from the start.”

Enkrypt AI remains available today with no changes to existing products, plans, or support for current users. Together, Anaconda and Enkrypt AI are accelerating the path to a unified platform for building, orchestrating, and securing AI-native systems, with details to be shared as they become available.
