Good Neighbor Pharmacy® Named #1 in Customer Satisfaction with Chain Drug Store Pharmacies and Most Trusted by JD Power

Recognition coincides with ThoughtSpot, Cencora’s flagship annual tradeshow and conference for community care providers

CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Good Neighbor Pharmacy, a national franchise for independent pharmacies offered through Cencora, has been ranked “#1 in Customer Satisfaction with Chain Drug Store Pharmacies” in the JD Power 2026 U.S. Pharmacy StudySM, a syndicated benchmarking study profiling the experiences of customers of the largest pharmacies in the United States. In addition to ranking highest overall, Good Neighbor Pharmacy ranked highest across four of seven dimensions: Pharmacy offerings meet my needs - medication & health and wellness services, Able to get prescriptions how/when I want (Convenience), People (Staff) and My level of trust with pharmacy.

This is the 14th time that Good Neighbor Pharmacy has earned this recognition in the last 17 years and coincides with the gathering of more than 4,000 community and long-term care pharmacy owners, industry experts and partners at Cencora’s 15th annual tradeshow and conference, ThoughtSpot. The four-day flagship event celebrates the value and resilience of independent pharmacies and community care providers.

Good Neighbor Pharmacy’s latest ranking as #1 in customer satisfaction by JD Power has brought even more energy and excitement to this year’s ThoughtSpot, which is always a valuable opportunity to bring together independent pharmacies and community care providers for candid conversations about the successes they’re building on, challenges they’re navigating and opportunities ahead,” said Tim Cernohous, SVP & President of Community Retail and Long-Term Care Pharmacy at Cencora. “JD Power’s recognition reflects the impact that community pharmacies make every day, and we’re thrilled to celebrate this accomplishment in person with our members, as this win truly belongs to them for their unwavering commitment to serving their communities.”

In addition to celebrating community care providers and equipping them with actionable strategies to increase efficiency, activate knowledge and grow revenue, ThoughtSpot features and highlights include:

  • Redesigned Programming: ThoughtSpot provides attendees with practical strategies to navigate change, strengthen their businesses and further their role as essential healthcare hubs. This year’s program is redesigned in response to attendee feedback and features a dynamic mix of industry-leading education, hands-on workshops and networking opportunities centered on key business priorities, including enhancing clinical expertise, optimizing operations and expanding services.
  • Audience Expansion: For the first time, the event offers a dedicated experience for medically integrated dispensing (MID) and specialty dispensing practices, with targeted education, peer learning and actionable insights for program managers, pharmacists and dispensing leaders.
  • Good Neighbor Pharmacy Champion Awards: The 2026 Good Neighbor Pharmacy Champion Awards recipients were unveiled on July 28, spotlighting three pharmacies for outstanding contributions in advocacy, clinical care and storytelling. Moreland & Devitt Pharmacy, with four locations in West Central Illinois, led by CEO and pharmacist, Scott Stoll; Desert Hospital Outpatient Pharmacy of Palm Springs, California, led by CEO, Ramesh Upadhyayula; and Quik-Stop Pharmacy of Thorndale, Pennsylvania, led by president and pharmacist, Alissa Griffith were recognized for their efforts to advance the profession, optimize patient care and inspire others, underpinning the critical role they play as accessible sites of care in their communities.

“Scott, Ramesh and Alissa are outstanding examples of the impact independent pharmacies make every day in the communities they serve,” said Kenzie Hohman, NVP, Community Pharmacy Solutions – Solution Delivery, Practice Management and Advocacy at Cencora. “Their work shows that leadership in independent pharmacy takes many forms – whether it’s advocating for policies that protect patient access, delivering clinical services that optimize outcomes or telling the story of community pharmacy in ways that build trust, recognition and connection. Pharmacies like these are the reason Good Neighbor Pharmacy has earned recognition for #1 in customer satisfaction by JD Power, and we are proud to partner with independent pharmacies across the country to work together to strengthen care, support business sustainability and advance the future of pharmacy.”
