Scale Names David Vickerman Chief Financial Officer

Veteran energy infrastructure financial executive to lead finance, accounting, and M&A across Scale's C&I and Data Center platforms

RIDGEWOOD, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Scale, a leading vertically-integrated provider of advanced energy solutions backed by EQT, today announced the hiring of David Vickerman as Chief Financial Officer. In this role, Vickerman will lead and manage all finance, accounting, and capital markets functions across Scale's two core business lines: Commercial & Industrial (C&I) and Data Center Solutions. His hire comes at a key inflection point for the company, which is experiencing tremendous growth in both business lines, and is in the market for billions of dollars of financing.

Vickerman brings more than 25 years of experience in energy and infrastructure finance to Scale. Over the past 12 years, he served as CFO of several private equity-backed energy infrastructure and power platform companies, where he was responsible for financial and accounting operations, corporate and project finance, strategic growth, and investor relations. During that time, he oversaw the financing of more than $7 billion in new energy infrastructure projects and platforms, as well as acquisitions and divestments to strategic investors including Shell.

Earlier in his career, Vickerman held roles at an institutional investment fund with more than $30 billion in assets under management, where he served as co-head of its global infrastructure fund focused on energy and power infrastructure assets. While based in London, he founded and grew an alternative investment fund to over $500 million in assets under management, delivering top-decile five-year returns and securing a successful exit to Man Group plc.

“David's track record of building finance functions and structuring complex capital across the energy infrastructure sector makes him an ideal fit for Scale as we continue on our path of rapid growth,” said Ryan Goodman, CEO of Scale. “His experience raising and deploying billions of dollars of capital, combined with his background across investment management and corporate finance, will be instrumental as we expand our business.”

“I'm excited to join Scale at such a pivotal moment for the distributed energy industry,” said Vickerman. “Scale's proven track record of execution and backing from EQT position the company to capitalize on strong demand for on-site energy solutions from C&I and data center customers. I look forward to joining the team to lead the company’s financial strategy and support our continued growth.”
