W. R. Berkley Corporation Announces Senior Executive Appointments

Daniel R. Westcott Named Executive Vice President
Robert R. Coyne, Jr. Appointed President of Berkley Re America

GREENWICH, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--W. R. Berkley Corporation (NYSE: WRB) today announced the appointment of Daniel R. Westcott as executive vice president. Robert R. Coyne, Jr. will succeed Mr. Westcott as president of Berkley Re America. In addition, Robert C. Hewitt, executive vice president of the Company, has been named chairman of Berkley Re. The appointments are effective immediately.

Mr. Westcott has nearly 30 years of experience in the property casualty reinsurance market. He joined Berkley Re America as president in 2019. Mr. Coyne joined Berkley in 2006 and became senior vice president of Berkley Re America in 2010. He has over 30 years of experience in the property casualty reinsurance business. Mr. Hewitt joined Berkley in 2002 as senior vice president for risk management and was named executive vice president of the Company in 2016.
