CINCINNATI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--CBTS, a leading North American technology services company, today announced it has achieved Palo Alto Networks NextWave MSSP Advanced Specializations across three major security domains: network security, cloud security and security operations. CBTS now holds seven Palo Alto Networks NextWave MSSP Advanced Specializations across Hardware Firewall, Software Firewall, Prisma SASE (Prisma Access and Prisma SD-WAN), Cortex XDR, Cortex XSOAR and Cortex XSIAM.

Celebrating 13 years of partnership with Palo Alto Networks

CBTS has collaborated with Palo Alto Networks for more than 13 years. It holds Diamond Innovator Solution Provider status, Platinum MSSP status, more than 100 Palo Alto Networks certifications, and a team of 90 network and security operations engineers. The achievement builds on four NextWave Specializations earned in August 2024 and reflects sustained investment in engineering expertise, certification, and operational scale.

"Enterprise organizations are facing pressure on many fronts," said Chris DeBrunner, CISO at CBTS. "Teams are still securing cloud environments, remote users and a rapidly evolving threat landscape, and now AI adoption is opening exposure at the model, data and infrastructure layers. What organizations need isn't more point solutions, it's platforms that connect network, identity, cloud and infrastructure through the SOC, and carry that same discipline into protecting AI environments."

Securing AI from the ground up

CBTS AI Native Security services, part of the company's Forge AI solution, are backed by Palo Alto Networks Cortex and Prisma technologies. The services are built to help enterprises secure AI environments across the model, data, and infrastructure layers while maintaining operational resilience.

"Platformization shifts the advantage back to defenders by replacing operational complexity with seamless, unified protection against increasingly sophisticated, AI-powered attacks," said Anar Desai, Vice President, North America Channel Sales, Palo Alto Networks. "CBTS has demonstrated expertise across network, cloud and SOC environments. Combined with Palo Alto Networks comprehensive platforms, this provides exactly what our mutual customers need to confidently consolidate their infrastructure and modernize security operations."

For Coastal Credit Union, CBTS and Palo Alto Networks delivered critical modernization of its distributed network and security environment. The regional financial cooperative needed to unify connectivity and protection across 23 branches, headquarters, and two data centers while reducing reliance on legacy MPLS and fragmented OEM infrastructure.

CBTS delivered a cloud-first architecture built on Palo Alto Networks SD-WAN, Prisma SASE and Prisma Access, supported by managed Network as a Service and bandwidth aggregation. The deployment helped Coastal Credit Union extend consistent security policy across its full footprint, improve resiliency with redundant wired and LTE/5G connectivity, and simplify operations through a co-managed services model.
