Orion Rockets Past $6 Trillion in Assets and Sets the AI-Native Standard for Wealth Management

Denali AI-native ecosystem expands to three options with features built into every Orion product at no additional cost

OMAHA, Neb.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Orion today announced it has surpassed $6.6 trillion in assets under administration — up 29% since crossing $5 trillion one year ago. Adoption of Orion’s AI-native ecosystem continues to accelerate: the firm now supports over 8.6 million technology accounts and has nearly doubled its wealth management assets year over year to $211 billion.

Alongside these milestones, Orion is expanding Denali into three options – each helping firms accelerate advice, expand advisor capacity, and drive organic growth. Every Orion product will include impactful AI features at no extra cost, with options that grow alongside each firm’s AI strategy.

"Our clients are among the most forward-thinking firms in the industry, and their success is what's carried Orion past $6 trillion," said Orion CEO Natalie Wolfsen. "Orion clients grew nearly 40% faster in 2025 than non-Orion advisors1, and we designed Denali to help extend that advantage. Kitces’ productivity benchmarks suggest that if advisors fully redeploy AI-enabled time savings into client meetings, they could support up to 40% more revenue.2 That growth potential shouldn't depend on advisors piecing together their own AI strategy. A technology partner should deliver high-impact options for firms to drive strategy, bring the right innovations together, and embed AI seamlessly into the platform they already trust, so advisors can focus on serving clients and growing their firms.”

AI Built into Every Orion Product, Powered by Denali

The AI that grows a firm shouldn’t arrive with a separate invoice. Every Orion client will have Denali features built in at no extra cost, with paid options for firms that need more customization or enterprise-scale capabilities. Built on Orion's trusted, unified data foundation, Denali delivers a complete AI ecosystem. The three levels are designed to meet firms where they are on their AI journey, including:

  • Powered by Denali: Built in, impactful AI features at no extra cost. Denali will live inside Orion’s individual products, including Redtail CRM (live now), portfolio accounting, trading, risk, compliance, and planning. Advisors can ask anything, see suggested actions for every client, and hand the busywork to time-saving AI agents.
  • Denali Solutions: Connected AI, customized to each firm's strategy. Firms can now select the connected AI capabilities that fit their priorities and activate them across the Orion products they use, then expand as their business and AI strategy evolve. Initial capabilities put growth at the center: firm-specific proposal generation and portfolio opportunity alerts that surface new business and wallet-share across the book, smart prospect prioritization that tells teams who to reach next, and revenue and fee insights (RMD tracking, cash-need alerts, and billing analysis) that protect firm revenue and flag money in motion. Automated meeting preparation and note-taking keep every client interaction sharp and follow-through complete. More capabilities are coming soon.
  • Denali AI: AI orchestrated across the entire firm. Denali AI, launched in February, transforms home office operations by connecting Orion and third-party integration partner systems, automating firm-wide workflows, and giving leaders greater visibility and control. The result is a more efficient firm that scales service, reduces operational overhead, and helps advisors spend more time with clients.

Across all three options, Denali is built to be powerful, practical, and trusted. Advisors stay in control at every level, and every output is permissioned, auditable, and explainable. Last month, Orion achieved ISO 42001 certification, the first international standard for AI management systems. Learn more here.

"Most of an advisor's day still goes to work that isn't advice – meeting prep, follow-ups, and reconciling data across disconnected systems," said Reed Colley, President of Orion Advisor Technology. "Denali handles that work in the background, turning Orion's trusted data foundation and system of record into a system of intelligence. AI shouldn't live in a separate app or require a separate invoice — so Denali is built into every Orion product and in every client's hands, with the freedom to configure and orchestrate it as their firm grows. That reclaimed time is capacity to deepen client relationships and drive new business — and because Denali is embedded, open, and governed, firms can move fast with the trust our industry requires."

2 Orion internal analysis, interpolating Kitces research data on revenue by client-facing time, illustrative and not a guarantee. Estimate assumes AI saves advisors 5 hours per week, increasing available client meeting time from 17% to ~30% of a 40-hour week, and applies Kitces’ revenue-per-advisor data to approximate potential for up to a 40% increase in capacity. Kitces’ findings demonstrate correlation between greater client-facing time and higher revenue, not necessarily causation.
