Joe Amara Executive Search Announces Placement of Vice President, Project Development East

CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Joe Amara Executive Search is pleased to announce the successful placement of a Vice President, Project Development East with a leading utility-scale power generation and energy storage company.

In this executive leadership role, the newly appointed Vice President will oversee the development and execution of a multi-gigawatt portfolio spanning wind, solar, solar-plus-storage, and standalone battery storage projects. The portfolio extends across several of North America’s most important power markets, including ERCOT, MISO, PJM, NYISO, and ISO-NE.

The executive will lead two Directors of Development and their regional teams, establishing development strategy, strengthening portfolio quality, and ensuring projects meet critical interconnection, permitting, financing, and capital deployment milestones. The role will also provide senior accountability for projects advancing from development through notice to proceed, financial close, construction, and commercial operation.

“This placement required an executive who could balance long-term portfolio strategy with disciplined project execution across multiple markets and technologies,” said Joe Amara, Founder and President of Joe Amara Executive Search. “We are proud to have identified a leader with the experience to scale development teams, manage complex portfolio risk, and advance projects that will support the next generation of power infrastructure.”

The appointment comes at a pivotal time for the power sector, as developers work to expand generation and storage capacity while navigating increasingly complex interconnection queues, permitting requirements, capital markets, and regional policy environments.
