Santos brings nearly 15 years of private wealth and fiduciary services experience to Oregon Pacific Bank, with deep roots in the Portland market. He most recently served as Senior Fiduciary Strategist at Key Private Bank, where he provided fiduciary and estate planning advice to clients throughout Oregon and Southwest Washington. Prior to that, he spent six years with U.S. Bank Private Wealth Management as a Senior Trust Relationship Manager, overseeing complex trust relationships. Before his banking career, Santos was a practicing estate planning attorney in Portland and New York, giving him a uniquely well-rounded perspective at the intersection of law, fiduciary services, and wealth management.

A Strategic Step Forward in Portland

Oregon Pacific Bank has steadily grown its presence in the Portland metro area since opening its Tigard branch in 2023, and the addition of a dedicated Trust Officer reflects the Bank’s commitment to building a full-service offering for Portland-area individuals, families, and professional advisors.

“Miguel’s combination of legal training, fiduciary leadership, and long-standing relationships in the Portland professional community make him exactly the right person to lead our trust growth in this market,” said David Rice, EVP, Director of Trust & Wealth Management at Oregon Pacific Bank. “Having a Trust Officer based full-time in Portland allows us to serve clients and their advisors with the same personalized, relationship-driven approach that has defined our trust services since 1996.”

Background & Credentials

Santos holds a Juris Doctorate from the City University of New York School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Connecticut. He is an Accredited Trust and Financial Advisor (ATFA) and a licensed attorney in both Oregon and New York. He is an active member of the Estate Planning Council of Portland, the Estate Planning Council of Southwest Washington, the Oregon State Bar, and the New York State Bar. Santos also serves as Vice President of the Board for Guardian Partners, a Portland-based nonprofit supporting vulnerable adults across Oregon.

“I chose to join Oregon Pacific Bank because of its strong community banking culture and genuine commitment to personalized client service,” said Santos. “I’m excited to use my local market experience and professional network to help build and expand the Bank’s trust and wealth management presence in Portland, and to deliver exceptional service to clients and their families.”
