Affinity Federal Credit Union President’s Invitational Golf Outing Raises $254,000 for Community Grants and Member Relief

Exceeding last year’s sum by over $40,000, these proceeds support the communities served by Affinity across New Jersey, New York, and Connecticut

BASKING RIDGE, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Affinity Federal Credit Union (“Affinity”) recently hosted its annual President’s Invitational Golf Outing, raising over $254,000 for the Affinity Foundation (“Foundation”). Over 160 golfers, guests, and volunteers gathered on June 8, 2026, to support Affinity’s outreach and initiatives.

The Foundation gratefully recognizes the event’s top sponsors, including Allied Solutions, Fiserv, Vericast, VISA, Inc., Clear Wave Wealth Management, Alloy, Candescent, Ferreira Group, Kasasa, Lockton Companies, Saldutti Law Group, and TruStage. It also extends gratitude to all the participants and volunteers who came together to uplift the Foundation’s core mission. Their generosity is integral to the Foundation's mission of ending poverty, promoting education, and boosting the wellbeing of Affinity members and communities.

“We thank everyone who showed up to support The Foundation’s mission,” said Kelly Watts, Executive Director of the Affinity Foundation. “This year, the support we provide is more important than ever. Your engagement translates into real impact for our members facing struggles and their communities.”

The Foundation’s core initiatives include grants for community-driven nonprofits, direct member relief funds, and annual scholarships for local students beginning their higher education journey. The Foundation hosts events throughout the year to raise funds and organizes employee volunteer events for community wellbeing.

The Golf Outing included mindful moments to bring participants together, including a cocktail reception and dinner. Throughout the day, participants bid on over 40 raffle baskets donated by local businesses, members, and employees.

At the event’s kickoff, Kevin Brauer, CEO and President of Affinity, led a reflection on the Foundation’s progress and goals. He celebrated the legacy and friendship of John Fenton, who led Affinity as CEO for over 30 years.

“When we come together, we honor the foundation laid by those who came before us,” said Brauer. “Affinity was founded with the ethos of ‘people helping people.’ The Foundation allows us to provide direct support to those who need it most, transforming our communities and promoting wellbeing for all.”

Affinity awarded first prize for the golf event to Fiserv, second place to Schenck, Price, Smith & King LLP, and third place to VISA, Inc.
