Price Benowitz to Host 2026 PB Back to School Carnival in District Heights

Free community event will include backpack giveaway, games, food, entertainment and family giveaways

DISTRICT HEIGHTS, Md.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Price Benowitz Accident Injury Lawyers, LLP will host the 2026 PB Back to School Carnival from 5 to 8 p.m. on Aug. 19, 2026, at the District Heights Recreation Center. The event, held at 2000 Marbury Drive in District Heights, MD, will help area families by providing back-to-school support and class supplies.

The free community event is an extension of the firm’s Back-to-School Backpack Project, which launched in 2023 to provide students with school supplies and support families before the start of classes. Since its launch, the initiative has donated more than 4,000 backpacks.

This year’s event expands beyond the annual giveaway into a carnival-style gathering with food, games, live entertainment, family raffles and activities hosted with local organizations and media partners. Each student will receive a carnival booklet upon arrival and collect stamps by playing games and visiting vendor stations. Once all stamps are collected, students can turn in the completed booklet to receive a new backpack containing a pocket folder, glue stick, pencils, pens, notebook, scissors, pencil case, crayons, eraser, ruler and sharpener.

“Back-to-school season can put real pressure on families, and this event is one way we can help ease that burden,” said Seth Price, Managing Partner at Price Benowitz. “We started this effort with backpacks, and it has grown because the community continues to show up for its students.”

Families are encouraged to pre-register on the Price Benowitz website to reserve their backpacks from 5 to 7 p.m. After 7 p.m., pre-registered spots will no longer be held, and remaining backpacks will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Each student must be present to receive his or her backpack.
