To help meet that need, McGraw Hill, Inc. (NYSE: MH), a leading global provider of education solutions for preK-12, higher education and professional learning, today announced new additions to its AI-powered ALEKS portfolio of learning solutions: ALEKS Adventure for Grades 4–5 and ALEKS for Calculus II. These new offerings extend the reach of ALEKS, which is already being used by students globally at other course levels and alongside core McGraw Hill programs such as Reveal Math.

For more than 25 years, ALEKS has used artificial intelligence and learning science to help personalize instruction for more than 65 million students from elementary school through higher education. Its adaptive technology and actionable data help educators identify knowledge gaps and guide each student to the skills they are ready to learn next.

“ALEKS is widely used across K–12 and higher education globally as a trusted solution for personalized math instruction,” said Lori Anderson, Chief Product Officer at McGraw Hill. “These additions expand its reach across grade levels and advanced math courses, creating new opportunities to support customers while positioning the ALEKS product for continued growth in the years ahead.”

ALEKS Adventure for Grades 4–5

With the addition of Grades 4–5, ALEKS Adventure now offers a complete K–5 experience, building on Grades K–3, which are already being used by schools and educators globally. Built on the same proven ALEKS model, the new offerings combine rigorous math learning with shorter lessons, guided practice and frequent mastery checks tailored for older elementary students.

Alongside familiar characters like Digit the Dog, students participate in engaging, bite-sized learning experiences in short 10–15 minute chunks that fit naturally into classroom routines and support skill development through age-appropriate digital learning.

Students using ALEKS generally achieve topic mastery more than 90% of the time, and recent case studies of ALEKS Adventure in early elementary classrooms showed that usage led to significant point gains in assessment scores and stronger end-of-year math performance.

ALEKS for Calculus II

ALEKS for Calculus II follows the 2025 release of Calculus I, extending personalized support further into the calculus sequence.

Using AI-driven machine learning based on billions of ALEKS data points, ALEKS for Calculus II helps students build on prior learning as they move into more advanced concepts, reinforcing foundational knowledge and supporting deeper conceptual understanding as coursework becomes more complex.

Together with Calculus I—and with Calculus III planned for release during the 2027–28 academic year—it creates a connected, continuous path for students as they advance, supporting steady progress toward mastery in higher-level math.

“ALEKS reflects our teacher-centric approach to AI by leveraging data to provide educators with clear insights into student knowledge gaps so they can better support what each learner is ready to tackle next,” said Anderson. “Whether a student is building foundational skills in elementary school or progressing through Calculus II, ALEKS enables educators to meet each learner where they are and provide the individualized support needed to keep moving forward.”
