Rise Internet to Bring Fiber-Powered Gigabit Service to Homes Across Texas

Rise Internet is upgrading its fiber-powered network to bring gig-capable speeds to over 3.2 million homes across Texas with an initial release of over 160,000 homes over the next few months.

DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Rise Internet announced today that deployment is underway for a new state-of-the-art fiber-powered gigabit network in Texas. The company is upgrading locations across the Dallas/Fort Worth, Houston, and San Antonio metropolitan areas using Tarana G2 technology.

Over the past year, Rise has invested hundreds of millions of dollars to strengthen and expand its network to ensure it delivers the speed, reliability, and value that households depend on today and for years to come. These investments reflect the ongoing commitment to provide a best-in-class internet experience for current and future customers.

The company has also been actively deploying whole-home Wi-Fi 7 technology powered by eero in many areas across its footprint. When this initial phase completes, Rise will be able to deliver broadband at data speeds over 1 gigabit per second (Gbps) to over 160,000 homes and businesses across Lytle, Royce City, East Bernard, Princeton, Rendon, Kaufman, Needville, Anna, Venus, Sanger and Rockwall, TX.

“Rise has always been focused on bringing fast, dependable internet to communities that too often get overlooked by larger providers,” said Rod Millar, CEO of Rise Internet. “What’s especially exciting is the next phase of innovation we’re bringing to our customers. With new fiber-powered technology, we’ll be able to deliver gig speed Wi-Fi internet to even more homes and businesses across our footprint.”

Basil Alwan, CEO of Tarana, added, "We're thrilled that the Rise team has chosen our G2 platform as a key component of their gigabit offering. Together we will deliver great broadband to more communities, faster and at scale."

Rise Internet’s mission is to continue closing the digital divide by delivering the speed, reliability, support, and value customers deserve. With a new 100% U.S. based call center, the company is focusing on service and support for existing and new customers. Customers can expect responsive and exceptional customer service, the best value for the needs of the home or business, no hidden fees or long-term contracts, and a commitment to continue investing in better technology, support, and an overall better customer experience.
