The showroom features:
- Elevated color palette rooted in warmth and lightness, but activated by rich accents, texture and bold color blocking to deliver contrast and moments of surprise.
- Expressive use of pattern, texture, and form to guide movement and tell a cohesive story.
- Coordinated flooring system, showcasing Interface’s latest introductions, including Forest Within, Cut & Form, and noravant™.
- Interface’s approach to circularity, from smarter design to better materials and renewal programs, all help reduce waste and lower impact.
“We designed the Chicago showroom experience to create immersive, unexpected moments. And to remind attendees that good design encompasses how a product is made and how it performs, while also having an impact beyond the physical space. It serves as a way to truly inspire, connect, and move people,” said Kelly Simcox, Head of Global Design at Interface. “Our latest flooring collections show how materials, pattern, and color can work together to create a deeper connection to nature, while also supporting performance, smarter budgets, and lower carbon impact.”
Forest Within: Biophilic Carpet Tile Collection
Forest Within reflects birch bark, shifting seasons, organic visuals, and patterns that charge spaces. It is the latest carpet tile collection designed by David Oakey for Interface. And features a broad palette of birch-inspired patterns that feel alive and expressive, capturing biophilic realism while offering endless design possibilities.
It offers four distinct products each made for a variety of moods, including:
- First Light™ features a calming, foundational texture with a neutral color palette and subtle bark patterning inspired by fractal patterns in nature.
- Shifting Seasons™ combines a dynamic pattern with a mix of neutral and saturated color reflecting spring’s greens, summer’s heat, autumn’s richness, and winter’s clarity.
- Spruce It Up™ balances playfulness with refinement through rich, expressive colors and a nature-inspired pattern mirroring branches in a tree canopy.
- Quiet Grove™ offers a disciplined, sculptural, and bark-like pattern with precise detail and articulation to create a confident look that brings the forest to interiors.
“Biophilic design continues to be a driving force in commercial interiors, but we’re seeing it evolve beyond simply bringing nature indoors,” said David Oakey, founder of David Oakey Designs and exclusive product designer for Interface. “Designers are focusing on how spaces feel, from how light shifts throughout the day to how texture and pattern create immersive, sensory experiences. With Forest Within, we’re deepening the connection to nature in a way that’s more expressive and design-forward than ever, giving designers new ways to tell that story through the floor.”
Cut & Form: Parquet-Inspired LVT Collection
The Cut & Form LVT collection offers a modern twist on the classic, parquet style. It combines angles, movement, and material to create something both timeless and unexpected. And brings the familiarity of woodgrain into a trending geometric interpretation.
It features ten unique colorways ranging from soft blondes and golden honey to rich walnuts and dark coffee. The collection:
- Blends textures and shades to introduce subtle shifts of color for added depth and character.
- Offers a warm, earthy palette giving designers a great foundation for color exploration.
- Supports commercial interior trends with a natural, inviting look and feel.
- Meets performance needs with Ceramor+™ ceramic bead coating for durability and 4.5 mm Sound Choice™ backing for acoustic comfort.
